A weekee-greeting to all hivers!! I thought maybe it was a good idea to start doing 3D fanarts instead of 3D work making processes, because explaining that whole repetitive thing with each of the creatures gets boring. There are some creatures I have already finished texturing and rigging which haven't been animated yet (probably will do posts about the animations) that I can use for renders fanarts because renders are fun and more attractive than the making process xD
Also, it's a way for fans and you to see finally the creatures in 3D, to see how they will look in-game ;) heehee... So let's get to it!
Meet Ermo :3
I finished its rig in this picture.
And I was testing it in this picture... I know...
My original render idea was to make Ermine look at its reflection on the Forest Lake (I think this is not its in-game habitat, but we had no other...)
But water looked so fake lol
I even added these wave-like distortions but it just looked even worse T-T
So I looked for tutorials on youtube...
...and made this realistic water :D
Then I had another idea. I also had finished Ermy, so I brought it to scene. My idea was to make both of them look at their reflections.
I set up the camera.
Thought it was too empty, and the reflections didn't even managed to be seen from that angle. Then started questioning about what to put inside the water, maybe they were looking at something in the water and the child was curious.
Wait... the child... That's it, another parent and child couple that lives underwater.
kinda anticlimactic for whales to be in ponds... let's better not talk about that.
Final Result - 'Offspring'
Made the little one also curious to see Ermy. Kids.
The powerful ones are keeping an eye on each other more than on their offspring, who knows what could happen if they stop looking at the real danger here...
Maybe a bit out of their habitats (way too much...) but it looks cute at least yay :D
Hope you like it as much as I do, read you on the next one!!
