Hola a todos mis amigos y amigas de la Comunidad Holozing, me contenta estar presente en esta oportunidad para presentar mi más reciente proyecto creativo inspirado en Holozing. Esta vez se trata de unas lindas Pantuflas de Electric Rabbit, que he creado para mi nieta menor. Ella es fan de las piezas diferentes y adorables, pese a que esta muy pequeña, siempre ha mostrado un estilo diferente al vestirse y expresarse.
Hello to all my friends from the Holozing Community, I am happy to be present on this opportunity to present my most recent creative project inspired by Holozing. This time it is some cute Electric Rabbit Slippers, which I created for my youngest granddaughter. She is a fan of different and adorable pieces, even though she is very small, she has always shown a different style when dressing and expressing herself.
Las pantuflas son muy suaves y comodas, ideales para colocarse en casa. Las he elaborado con tela de peluche, cartón, silicon, foami y costuras. La verdad es un proyecto muy lindo, entretenido y sobretodo único porque ha sido inspirado en Electric Rabbit. El resultado es muy lindo, mi nieta menor Danna esta coquetisima exhibiendo las pantuflas.
The slippers are very soft and comfortable, ideal for wearing at home. I have made them with plush fabric, cardboard, silicone, foam and sewing. The truth is that it is a very cute, entertaining and, above all, unique project because it has been inspired by Electric Rabbit. The result is very cute, my youngest granddaughter Danna is very flirtatious showing off the slippers.
Casualmente hoy por la tarde cuando llegó mi hija a buscarle, le mostraba las nuevas pantuflas que le había hecho. Mi hija solo sonreía, al ver como mi nieta solo exhibía alegremente las nuevas pantuflas que hice especialmente para ella. Sin embargo, tengo un menudo problema, Lis mi otra nieta se puso celosa y ahora quería unas pantuflas también.
Coincidentally this afternoon when my daughter came to pick him up, I showed her the new slippers I had made for her. My daughter just smiled, seeing how my granddaughter was just happily displaying the new slippers that I made especially for her. However, I have a slight problem, Lis, my other granddaughter, got jealous and now she wanted some slippers too.
Es la primera vez que realizo pantuflas, las sentía complicadas, pero poco a poco y con paciencia pude conseguir un bonito resultado. Las orejas eran uno de los detalles que más me hicieron pensar, puesto que las orejas de Electric Rabbit no son curvadas como las de un conejo común, sino que son como pequeñas y lindas puntadas de zigzag. Estas las dibujé primero en papel y luego las pase a piezas de tela que cosi por el contorno con la forma de puntadas del personaje. Quedaron muy lindas!
It is the first time that I make slippers, they felt complicated, but little by little and with patience I was able to achieve a nice result. The ears were one of the details that made me think the most, since Electric Rabbit's ears are not curved like a normal rabbit's, but rather like cute little zigzag stitches. I drew these first on paper and then transferred them to pieces of fabric that I sewed around the outline in the shape of the character's stitches. They turned out very pretty!

Proceso de Creación / Creation Process
Inicié midiendo, dibujando cortando las piezas que necesitaba en cartón. Esta debe ser de la medida del pie de la niña, adicionandole un poco más centimetros en el contorno porque generalmente las pantuflas son más grandes. Para ello he usado una chancleta común como referencia. Le he colocado dos capas de cartón para cada una, adicionalmente un par más de foami para que sea acolchado. Todas las capas las he unido con silicon.
I started measuring, drawing, cutting the pieces I needed out of cardboard. This should be the size of the girl's foot, adding a little more centimeters around the circumference because generally the slippers are larger. For this I have used a common flip-flop as a reference. I have placed two layers of cardboard for each one, additionally a couple more foams to make it padded. I have joined all the layers with silicone.
Después de armar la base de la suela. Corté la silueta, pero agregando más tamaño a la misma en la tela peluche y con silicon la uní a la base.
After assembling the base of the sole. I cut the silhouette, but adding more size to it in the plush fabric and with silicone I attached it to the base.
Ahora, cortamos el listón que atravesará desde arriba el pie. Debe ser doble. Para ello, medimos que tan ancho lo deseamos y lo duplicamos, porque como indiqué es doble. Dibujé y corte en papel las orejas. Después este patrón lo llevé a las telas, cortando dos piezas por cada oreja. En total, serían 8 piezas de orejas identicas.
Now, we cut the ribbon that will go through the foot from above. It must be double. To do this, we measure how wide we want it and we double it, because as I indicated it is double. I drew and cut the ears out of paper. Then I took this pattern to the fabrics, cutting two pieces for each ear. In total, there would be 8 pieces of identical ears.
Llevamos a la maquina de coser estas piezas. La parte superior, enfrentamos derechos y cosemos. Volteamos la pieza y reservamos. Las orejas, igualmente enfrentamos derechos y cosemos el contorno dejando la parte inferior sin costura y por allí volteamos.
We take these pieces to the sewing machine. The upper part, we face right sides and sew. We turn the piece and reserve. We also face the ears straight and sew the outline, leaving the lower part without a seam and turn there.
Al tener las piezas cosidas, vamos a unir el listón superior con las orejas. Medimos para que queden casi centradas y pasamos costura para unir.
Once we have the pieces sewn, we are going to join the top ribbon with the ears. We measure so that they are almost centered and sew to join.
Ahora estas piezas las uniremos a la suela que ya hemos preparado. Recordemos medir que tan alto debe estar, para eso he medido directamente que tan gordito es el pie de mi nieta. Fijamos amnbas piezas con silicon.
Now we will attach these pieces to the sole that we have already prepared. Let's remember to measure how high it should be, for that I have directly measured how chubby my granddaughter's foot is. We fix both pieces with silicone.
Continuaremos ahora trabajando la parte inferior de la suela. La he rellenado un poco para acolcharla más. Para ello, he usado tela peluche de la misma. Después, corte un par de piezas de la silueta de la pantufla y uní a la pantufla en sí, con silicon. Aqui la muestra de como debería quedar:
We will now continue working on the bottom part of the sole. I have stuffed it a little to cushion it more. For this, I have used the same plush fabric. Next, I cut a couple of pieces from the silhouette of the slipper and attached them to the slipper itself with silicone. Here is a sample of how it should look:
Ya ahora solo nos faltan los ojos y nariz. He dibujado las piezas en su color correspondiente y le hice detalles del delineado, sombreado a los ojos y brillo. Al tenerlos listos los uni a las pantuflas.
Now we only need the eyes and nose. I have drawn the pieces in their corresponding color and made details of the eyeliner, shading the eyes and glitter. When I had them ready I attached them to the slippers.

Cada día me siento más feliz de las cosas que he podido realizar, la mayoría son para mis nietas y otras bajo encargo a algunos clientes que me indican la creación de cieras piezas de ropa. A veces el día se torna largo, entre las tareas dirigidas, las cosas que aprender, mi nieta y la costura. Pero, me siento feliz y agradecida con muchas cosas de la vida.
Every day I feel happier about the things I have been able to make, most of them are for my granddaughters and others are commissioned to some clients who tell me to create certain pieces of clothing. Sometimes the day becomes long, between supervised tasks, things to learn, my granddaughter and sewing. But, I feel happy and grateful with many things in life.
