Hey guys, you’ve all successfully fomoed me into Holozing. Lol I thought I was immune to peer pressure, but turns out I’m not. Lol
After days of seeing everyone on Hive going crazy about Holozing, I read the posts on the Zingtoken account today. It was a lot to read, but I don’t regret it. There are a lot of things I would’ve missed in the posts I’ve read about Holozing from people’s blogs if I didn’t read the announcement post myself.
I think I read someone’s post where they mentioned the game was a role-playing game and immediately, I thought it was going to be a sims game or something like that. I honestly don’t know why I thought that, because I’d already seen several other posts clearly mention that it was Pokémon-inspired.
Players are not given much information about the monsters they encounter, requiring them to make mid-battle decisions. Players who take the time to watch for patterns, research, and diligently experiment will have an advantage.
I think this will probably be the biggest differentiator between Holozing and others like it on Hive and beyond. Having to trial and error my way through it will definitely be a lot more fun than figuring everything out from “about” monster.
Personally, acid’s involvement in the game dev team was part of its traction for me. But after looking at the team, it’s great to see that everyone on it knows their shit. I can’t wait to see and experience the game in action.
I also checked some ways to earn ZING and was glad to see that it was possible to earn some ZING by delegating HP. I’m not going to be able to delegate much of my HP on my main account right now, but I delegated 150HP on as a starter. Over the coming weeks, I’ll probably switch the delegation over to my main after raising my HP up a bit to a certain mark.
The options I’m more likely to consider right now is buying up and holding POSH or buying and staking ZING itself, as these seem like more flexible options compared to HP delegation(imo). Aside the convenience, comparing APRs, holding POSH seems to have the highest APR of 339%, against 113% APR from staking ZING itself, and then 92% APR of HP delegation.
I’m thinking that the ZING staking APR is lower because it’ll have more of a compounding effect in the long run, but even the other options will compound if you simply stake the earned ZING. This has me wondering on what metrics the APRs on the different ZING earning options were decided.
Anyways, one thing is clear – everyone on Hive is high on ZING juice, and I’m definitely following the population. Let’s get this ZING!!!!
