Hello passionate Holozing community! Several days ago, browsing and interacting on Hive I come across this wonderful and strong community. I discover that it is a web3 game and it is inspired by the already known and famous Pokémon game.
I tell my 16 year old daughter about Holozing, she has loved this kind of games since she was a little girl. We decided to read several publications to learn more about this phenomenon that is revolutionizing Hive these days. We were fascinated with everything it presents. The reaction it has provoked on the platform has been incredible.
My daughter likes animation, in fact she has done several projects and recently she is learning to model in 3D in Blender, a free software with great features. As part of her learning she decided to make fanarts of the creatures of this new game. To start with she chose Grass Raccoon.
This is the first time she published in this community and I have brought you, with my daughter's permission, the process she went through to create this fanart.
I'll tell you in broad strokes the steps she followed:
- She took an image from Grass Raccoon and placed it in the software as a guide to start modeling.
- She started by building the body, then the legs, the arms and hands, the head, the tail (which was a bit difficult because of its shape) and then the accessories.
- After modeling the character, she began to color it, always taking as a sample the tones of the image she had chosen.
- Once this step was finished she proceeded to give it a skeleton to be able to move the figure; "rigging" is called this process.
At the end she put the character in the same pose as the guide image. And that's how it turned out.
- Here is another pose of this creature.
Personally I liked the result very much, and so did she. Although she is not completely satisfied because she knows she still has a lot to learn, the best of this experience was the contribution to her knowledge of the software.
I hope you like her proposal. See you soon!
