Hello dear Holozing friends, I hope you're all doing well. This Friday afternoon, I want to share a fan art piece with you for this week. I drew Infurno on gray cardstock, continuing my series of drawings that aim to give them a digital animation style with realistic touches. This drawing was done with colored pencils and a few small touches of paint to help with the lighting. Here's a brief explanation of the step-by-step process. Let's begin!
Hola queridos amigos de Holozing, espero que se encuentren muy bien, en esta tarde de viernes quiero compartir con ustedes un fan art para esta semana. Realizó un dibujo de Infurno, también en cartulina gris, siguiendo con la serie de dibujos que realizó tratando de darles un estilo animado digital con tintes realistas. Este dibujo está realizado con lápices de colores y con unos pequeños toques de pintura para ayudar en la iluminación. Aquí les comentario de forma breve como el paso a paso, ¡comencemos!

I started by sketching Infurno with a white wax crayon. I had planned to draw him standing on his hind legs, but I ran out of paper, so I drew him in his usual pose. I used gray cardstock, which, as you may have seen in my previous drawings, works very well for this style.
Comencé haciendo el boceto de Infurno con un lápiz de cera de color blanco, había pensado hacerlo parado sobre sus dos patas traseras pero no me iba alcanzar el papel, así que lo hice en la posición que siempre suele salir. Utilicé cartulina de color gris, que como han podido ver en mis anteriores dibujos funciona muy bien en este estilo de dibujo.

In this drawing, I start at the top, with the ears, and work my way down to the limbs. To create the hair covering the face, instead of using dark brown directly, I mix several shades. This way, when I blend them, the final color will be a very different tone, but one that remains true to the character's essence. Next, I begin painting the flames on the face that extend to the sides, using yellow at the base and then adding orange for contrast.
En este dibujo comienzo por la parte superior, es decir por las orejas, y así ir bajando hasta las extremidades. Para hacer el pelo que cubre el rostro en lugar de usar el café oscuro directamente lo que hago es mezclar varios tonos, así cuando vaya a difuminar el color que se alcanzará al final será un tono muy diferente pero que se mantiene en la esencia del personaje. Seguidamente comienzo a pintar las llamas de fuero que están en el rostro y que sobresalen hacia los lados, con color amarillo en la base y después agregando color naranja en el contraste.

Then I begin painting the eyes, and in this way the face starts to take shape. For the whites of the eyes, I use white paint so they stand out, while the other parts I paint with crayons. Next, I begin painting the edges and corners of the lower part of the face, starting with the hair, which changes to a lighter color. For this step, I use white charcoal because my goal is to make the white stand out while also showing the volume of the hair.
Luego comienzo a pintar los ojos de esta manera el rostro va tomando forma, para la parte blanca de los ojos utilizo pintura blanca, así podrá resaltar, mientras que las demás partes las pinto con colores de cera. Seguidamente comienzo a pintar los bordes y extremos de la parte inferior del rostro, comenzando por la parte del pelo que cambia a un color claro. Para hacer este paso utilizo el color carboncillo blanco ya que mi interés es que resalte el color blanco pero que también pueda mostrar el volumen de pelo.

After that, I started shaping the mouth, painting the most visible fangs and the inside. Another detail I added, which is part of the character, is the flames that come out from the neck upwards and blend with the flames on the face; I also painted these yellow and orange.
Después de eso le voy dando forma a la boca, pintando los colmillos que se ven más visibles y el interior. Otro detalle que fui agregando y que es parte del personaje son las llamas que salen desde el cuello hacia arriba y se mezclan con las llamas que están en el rostro, estas las pinté también de amarillo y naranja.

Now I continue down, so to speak, the rest of the body, using the same color palette I used for the face. The brushstrokes are small, quick lines to make all the hair brown.
Ahora sigo bajando, por así decirlo, por el resto del cuerpo, aquí utilizo la misma gama de colores que utilicé para pintar el rostro. La forma del trazo son pequeñas líneas rápidas para así poder hacer todo el pelo de color café.

Next, I painted the bottom of its legs white with charcoal, and then gradually began to blend all the colors I had used with a soft brush dipped in mineral oil, which allowed for a smoother finish. Finally, I painted some white lines on the flames, which needed some highlights, as well as on the eyes and mouth.
Después pinte sus patitas en la parte inferior de color blanco, con el carboncillo, y poco a poco comencé a difuminar todos los colores que había utilizado con un pincel suave empapado en aceite mineral, esto permite un mejor acabado. Por último pinté algunas líneas de color blanco, en las flamas, que les hacía falta algunos reflejos, así también en los ojos y la boca.
This is the finished Infurno fan art. What do you think of the result? I think the colors are more vibrant after blending, thanks to the mineral oil, which is compatible with the wax in the paints. Así ha quedado finalizado este fan art de Infurno ¿Qué les parece el resultado? Creo que los colores después de haber difuminado con el color quedaron más vivos y esto se debe al aceite mineral, que es compatible con la cera de los colores. También el haber agregado color blanco en los bordes ayuda a lograr más ese realismo del 3D. Espero que les haya gustado, para mi fue todo un gusto el poder compartir, me despido hasta pronto.
