Learning new art is my weak point, I love creating new art, most likely something I have never tried.
Hand embroidery is one of my favourite arts which I have started learning after coming to the Hive platform, my first hand embroidery was Hand Embroidery | creative-sunday where I shared my love and passion for learning hand embroidery.
This is my second hand embroidery after a long time, but that doesn't mean I haven't practiced it at home. I used to do some practice stitches at home and now I am happy to present it to the public. No doubt I am still not perfect but learning rather than achieving perfection should be our ultimate goal.
Why Woolio?
I made Miu's 3D clay art a long time ago so it was time for something new and that new one is Woolio because its character was just introduced a few weeks ago. I came to know about Woolio a long ago when the community just introduced the character but I had exams and was busy with some family issues. I didn't have time to make fanart of it but I was willing to do some artistry. . of Woolio and today I had time for it so I thought why not give it a try.!
Procedure
I started the embroidery by adding the fabric to the frame and then outlined Woolio. I used the pencil to outline but unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of that step and I moved towards outlining with thread. I used dark brown thread instead of black thread for outlines because it suits more than black in Woolio's outline.
After completing the outline I moved toward the next step of shading the Woolio character. For colouring, I realized the character is a mixture of shades of orange and yellow, so I also mixed some orange and yellow threads and mixed them to shade its face. The final results were ok but not as I was expecting.
In the next step, comes the fur and tail of Woolio. It's quite visible that both these things were a mixture of different colours so I tried to make them colourful too. I combined three shades of orange in the tail and two shades in the fur.
In the last step, I filled the other empty area with simple yellow thread and filled the ears and legs with a lighter shade of brown to make them look different from all other body parts and look prominent but still, they were not very visible.
The final result of Woolio is hereπ
I'm not so good at hand embroidery, but I'm learning it, Hope the results are satisfying for others too.
