- sketch and line art
Using a blue sketch brush, I worked on the pose first before doing the background. Sometimes, I feel that my sketch is off, so I have to step away from my drawing pad and come back the next day. I know some artists experience this, too! Haha. The next day, I started doing the line art. Before, I could do an art in one sitting. Now, I try to take it slow and just enjoy drawing like it's therapeutic! π
- base color and shading
Xolobis has black fur, and so, I thought of putting some lighting to not make it flat. I chopped the different colors in layers so that it is easier for me to do the shading part.
Once the subject is done, I started dividing the background into two, the ground and the sky. The ground was a bit of a challenge, especially when positioning the grass, haha. So, I tried doing it manually, but then I resorted to downloading a grass brush.
Final Art
I then added some leaves, clouds, and sparkles. πΏβοΈ It's done! π
