Greetings to everyone in the community!
Today I decided to accompany my post about my Holozing rewards with something different from what I usually do, and that I had not done before: an embroidered craft. In this community I've seen some great crafts, and that inspired me to make my own.
For this craft, I was inspired by the Water Whale character 🐋, which I really like and had never used before. I wanted to make something that would be of use, so I thought of a cloth napkin that would work for my daughter in her school. This whale character is the one my little girl likes the most.

Hoy decidí acompañar mi publicación sobre mis recompensas en Holozing con algo diferente a lo que suelo hacer, y que no había realizado antes: una manualidad bordada. En esta comunidad he visto muy buenos trabajos de manualidades, y eso me inspiró a hacer la mío propia.
Para esta manualidad, me inspiré en el personaje de la Ballena de Agua 🐋, que me gusta mucho y que nunca antes lo había utilizado. Quise hacer algo que fuera de utilidad, por lo que pensé en una servilleta de tela que le sirviera a mi hija en su círculo infantil. Este personaje de la ballena es el que más le gusta a mi niña.
Materials and Creative Process
The materials I used were: magenta fabric for the napkin and blue fabric for the whale. White, blue and very little black thread for the eye.
I started by making a drawing of the whale on the blue fabric and then cut it out and stitched it on the magenta fabric. I did this using the patchwork technique, which I hadn't used since I was a little girl in art class. I was amazed that I still remembered how to do it because I didn't forget how to make the blanket stitch, which I used all around the edge of the whale to attach it to the fabric.
Materiales y Proceso creativo
Los materiales que utilicé fueron: tela de color magenta para la servilleta y de color azul para la ballena. Hilos de color blanco, azul y muy poquito negro para el ojo.
Comencé haciendo un dibujo de la ballena sobre la tela de color azul para luego recortarla y cocerla en la tela magenta. Esto lo hice utilizando la técnica del parche que no la usaba desde que era pequeña y estaba en las clases de Artes Plásticas. Me asombre que aún recordaba cómo hacerlo porque no se me olvidó el punto festón que fue el que use en todo el borde de la ballena y de esta manera unirla a la tela.
Then on the inside, I stitched the back stitch with a dark blue thread to highlight the details and filled in the little horn that the whale has on the top of the head and made the eye with black thread. Finally, I stitched the buttonhole stitch all around the edge of the napkin with white thread and did some needlework on top of it to give it volume.
Luego en el interior, realice el punto atrás con un hilo de color azul oscuro para resaltar los detalles y rellene el pequeño cuerno que tiene la ballena en la parte superior de la cabeza y le hice el ojo con hilo negro. Por último, cosí con hilo blanco el punto festón en todo el borde de la servilleta y le hice un bordado encima para darle volumen.
My first embroidery craft! I am happy and satisfied with the result, especially because my little girl liked it a lot and took it to school to show it to her teacher. But, I know, I have to keep improving and practicing 😃.
¡Mi primera manualidad haciendo un bordado! Con la que estoy contenta y satisfecha con el resultado, sobre todo porque a mí niña le gustó mucho y se la llevó aa escuela a enseñársela a su seño. Aunque ya se, hay que seguir mejorando y practicando 😃.
My Holozing rewards
This week I increased my delegation to 670 HP and I hope to add more to it before the end of the month with the goal of reaching 700HP. I also have 1820 Zing token in staking, which allows me to keep getting my daily rewards for it and increasing my amount.
Mís recompensas en Holozing
Esta semana aumenté mi delegación a 670 HP y espero agregarle más antes de terminar el mes con el objetivo de llegar a los 700HP. También tengo 1820 token Zing en staking, lo cual me permite seguir recibiendo mis recompensas diarias por ello e incrementando mi cantidad.
