Holo everyone here! Good Day to and
as always kudos to the unwavering efforts of the whole team even those people who are behind the scenes. Lemme share this artwork of mine today, and I am really excited to share this new healer traits contest entry that I sketched digitally. So last time my forest female entry was able to accumulate a lot of attention and really approved by many here in this community, hopefully this new entry would do just the same. This time around I picked Ocean Female Healer category.
Holozing Female Ocean Healer Traits...
- Jacket Hoodie Water Whale Design, so basically water whale is the focal point of this design and i really really think that water whale suits the jacket with hoodie the most in my own opinion. So the explanation for this design is i designed the hoodie to be Water Whale's head with eyes on both sides and a fin at the top most part the opening serves as its teeth.
- Water Whale Flippers is the Sleeves of the Jacket, so incase you didn't noticed what I've done here the two long sleeves of this blue jacket serves as water whale's flippers.
- Water/ocean emblem mirrored on both pouches of the jacket, pretty much no need to explain about this one, it is what it is.
- Blue shorts or jeans
- Water emblem as the earrings, so the earrings are hanged with gold laces from the ears.
- Water drop symbol as the necklace, the water drop is hanged with golden lace dunno the exact term but yeah.
Now that we are done with the explanation of traits lets dig in the art process...
Again! I used clip studio paint software and my drawing tablet which is XP PEN artist 12.
The first step is always to draw messy lines and change it into different color or just start with a lighter than black but i prefer a color that is so far from the black so that it will be easily to trace over it when you start the clean lineart process well that is if you are into lineart yeah? Well in my case i always use blue!
Then the clean lineart some tips even if you don't try to finish an artwork practice your strokes regularly so that you might lessen the undos. Orrrrr you could opt to increase the stability of the brushes but you will still need the mechanical skills of drawing or gliding the strokes over that digital tablet. Me? i usually upped the stability to 50-60 range depends if i wanted a smoother lines.
Done with the base colors , well this is the fastest step for me since if i made a clean lineart it is easier to fill the shapes since the lines are cleanly closed well i still get some errors from time to time you could just undo if there are gaps and close it with again a clean line.
- Well from here on until the end is rendering process for me since it consists of shadings and highlights!
- The last part is finishing touches, and adding details including the background but i love to use the builtin background of Clip Studio Paint you just need to figure out which background fits perfectly with your artwork!
