Hello Holozing!
I had some time away from creating content, due to personal factors I had moved on to other things. However, seeing the growth of art thanks to a great project for a game inspired by Pokémon, I have been encouraged to make my fan art of a character. If there had to be a Pink character, I have taken the trend that when the game is launched into the ring, there will be many girls who want to play and perhaps want a flying sweetness on their team. I have named this character: Flutterbelle.
From traditional to Digital
Generally depending on the illustration, I like to initially make a freehand drawing of what I imagine mentally. I always find that my hand and my mind sometimes don't go at the same pace, but believe me, I try my best. Performing this step sometimes makes it take me a little longer to play with the graphite and possible places of details and shadows, but it also makes it more fun and allows me to save a physical sample to decorate my wall of drawings. Here I show you some photographs of the drawing process:
This last photograph is the final result of the freehand drawing, as you can see I have added a nice mushroom in the background to give Flutterbelle a pose.
Digitizing my Drawing
To digitize my drawing I used the Medibang Paint application and a digital pencil. The digitization process takes longer, due to the amount of details that are usually added and because the work is done in different layers depending on the size of the drawing. From the start to the result that felt good, it took about 4 hours. There are always things to remove, put in, lights, details and more. To start the digitization, as I previously had my drawing in graphite, what I did was take a photograph and place it as a base with opacity. Initially I made the layout, then the color, adding details, lights and shadows. One of the final things was to design the background, I wanted this to be quite tender using colors like light blue, lilac in an airbrush with white. Here I show you some screenshots of the digitization process:
This last photograph is the download after the digitization has finished:
In the digitization process I used various brushes, including: Ink Pen, Round Pen, Dry Feel, Bright (for the detail effects on the wings), Blur, Watercolor, Airbrush and Pencil.
I have really enjoyed the creation from scratch of a Fan Art character that turned out to be the inspiration for the color pink, the nature and delicacy of beautiful shiny wings. Working into his light-filled eyes, he tells me that he is a kind, loving and loyal character. But despite this being the case, it does not mean that he is not strong, because with the combination that he can not only use his legs to move, he can also speed up movement with his strong wings.
About Flutterbelle
Flutterbelle has that combination of sweetness and strength, it can be seen in the grasslands and commonly lives in small cooperative groups that carry out fruit gathering activities. His type is Earth-Flying, he is fast, strong and has high recovery.
His name is a combination of the words "flutter" which means to flutter and "belle" which means beauty.
What did you think?
For this occasion, it seems to be everything. If you made it this far, thank you very much for your time. Greetings, La Cochina en Salsa says goodbye.
