It makes me happy to be here again sharing with you, I had a couple of somewhat busy days. But in my free moments I was drawing something on my tablet. Every day I am practicing some more things in terms of finishing, some tricks have helped me to improve the harmony and final effects of the character. This time I made a Fan Art of the Light Healer, admit that her colors (after the Ocean Healer) are the ones I like the most.
The truth is I am very happy and satisfied with the final result, I think I am surpassing my lines in the drawing. There are still many things I have to work on, some things that sometimes put me in frustrating moments, but little by little I'm "getting the hang of it." One of the things I am working on is the implementation of layers such as multiply and luminosity, here in my present illustration you have a sample of it. I think it gives her that touch that the personae needed to "radiate more light", after all she is the Healer of Light 😅
My Fan Art and Original Art of the Healer of Light
The drawing process took me a little more than 6 hours. I consider myself a bit slow because sometimes I forget to take details of some things and have to go back. For example, I don't name the layers and since I have everything on separate layers, when I have to put the details and use the cutout layer, I get lost and try depending on which one it will be. LOL. It also happens to me that sometimes I forget to paint an area, then I have to go back to the old layer when I realize and haha, stop counting 🤣. These are things that, due to the excitement of what I'm doing, I suddenly forget.
I think that when I do things more calmly, the better they turn out for me. This time I took care of many details, which helped me create a character that was quite nice to appreciate, well at least for me. As I said before, I was happy to have felt my own line of learning pass.
For the drawing process I used different brushes, honestly they are the ones I use the most, such as pencil, ink pen, airbrush. The difference is the game of thickness that has allowed me to work on sections in a better way, so that they are quite subtle but present.
Let's quickly see the Drawing process:
To draw I used my tablet, pencil and Medibang Paint as a drawing program. I started with a simple figure sketch, and then continued with a clean outline and a more defined outline. For this I used the ink pencil brush, which I really like the possible difference it makes in the thickness of the line, for this I have varied for areas marked a 7 and for areas such as details of hair and eyes, a grade 3. Then I went to a stage of cleaning the strokes, with an eraser. I added a new layer and started the color stage, I do this by color sections divided into layers. To then work on details using the clipping layer. After having my character with the base colors, I went on to make the details using a clipping layer as necessary. Later I continued making a background, to better highlight my character. For the final touch, I have used layers like multiply and luminosity. Here I show you the drawing process:

I made the background dark, but with certain details in white using an airbrush and brush. In addition to that, I used Gaussian blur and a clipping layer over it to add some additional shadow details. Thus, the spotlight on my character would be more relevant.
Here the final result:
I don't know why, but the Light Healer reminds me a lot of my favorite Mortal Kombat character, her name is Ashrah, perhaps the clothing or the proximity to the divine.
For this occasion, it seems to be everything. If you made it this far, thank you very much for your time. Greetings, La Cochina en Salsa says goodbye.
