Showing my first clay figures by our good friend Walle / Holozing / (ENG/ESP)

To remove the edge so it doesn't look so square, I used my multi-tool with a bottle opener to remove all the imperfections, then with wet fingers, I started to arrange the whole face so it looks like a turtle shell.

Then I marked a point on one of the sides to make a hole for the eyes, so that on one side I would have the same separation as on the other side of the face, I used the technique I regularly use to make my drawings, the measuring technique.

I marked a point of an eye, then I measured to get the middle point and finally the third point where the eye will be on the other side, then with the help of a knife, the same of the multi-tool, I opened the holes and began to form the eyes with small pieces of clay.

Para eliminar el borde y no se vea tan cuadrado, use mi multi herramienta con un destapador de botella para eliminar todas las imperfecciones, después con los dedos humedecidos, comencé a acomodar todo el rostro para que se vea como un caparazón de tortuga.


Después marqué un punto en uno de los lados para hacer un agujero para los ojos, para que de un lado me quedara a la misma separación como del otro lado del rostro, use la técnica que uso regularmente para hacer mis dibujos, la técnica de medir.


Marque un punto de un ojo, luego medí para sacar el punto medio y por último el tercer punto donde estará el ojo del otro lado, seguidamente con la ayuda de un cuchillo, el mismo de la multi herramienta, abrí los agujeros y comencé a formar los ojos con pequeños pedazos de arcilla.

Once the eyes are ready, I adapted them to the holes that I had previously created, I did this so that they would be fixed and immobile, since this clay tends to crack in the drying process, so I wanted to make it as strong as possible by creating each structure separately to get a little more resistance.

I joined them with wet fingers to give much more shape to Walle, now comes the part of his fin which is like that of a shark, which is on top of his head, it was worked separately.

Una vez que los ojos estén preparados, los adapte a los agujeros que anteriormente había creado, esto lo hice para que quedaran fijos, e inmóviles, ya que esta arcilla suele agrietarse en el proceso de secado, así que quise hacerlo lo más fuerte posible creando cada estructura por separado para que obtuviera un poco más de resistencia.


Los uni con los dedos humedecidos para darle mucha más forma a Walle, ahora viene la parte de su aleta que es como la de un tiburón, el cual se encuentra en la parte superior de su cabeza, el mismo fue trabajado por separado.

Having the piece of the fin made, I made an opening at the top to fit it and thus had more resistance, as I explained above with the case of the eyes, little by little with wet fingers, I was shaping it until the total shape of the fin, at first glance I began to notice that I was getting great for being the first time working with clay forms, although many years had made a house when I studied, as I had been asked for homework.

Then I started working with the fins (arms), these fins are curious, as they have some kind of cannons, in fact it looks a bit like the turbines of an airplane, it must have an incredible speed.

Finally I made a platform where I am going to place my beloved Walle, since I plan to paint it as if it were in the ocean, I joined the fins and placed it on the base, for the base I used the bottle to flatten it without leaving it so flat so that when it dries it would not crack.

Al tener la pieza de la aleta hecha, hice una abertura en la parte superior para encajarla y que así tuviera más resistencia, como explique anteriormente con el caso de los ojos, poco a poco con los dedos humedecidos, le fui dando forma hasta lograr la forma total de la aleta, a simple vista comencé a notar que me estaba quedando genial para ser la primera vez trabajando con formas en arcilla, aunque muchos años había hecho una casa cuando estudiaba, ya que me lo habían pedido de tarea.


Después comencé a trabajar con las aletas (brazos), estas aletas con curiosas, ya que tiene unas especies de cañones, de hecho se parece un poco a las turbinas de un avión, debe tener una velocidad increíble.


Por último hice una plataforma donde voy a colocar mi querido Walle, ya que tengo pensado pintarlo como si estuviese en el océano, uni las aletas y lo coloque en la base, para la base use la botella para aplanarlo sin que me quedara tan plano para que al momento de secarse no se agrietara.

Once this was done, I started to work with the glue, I made a hole, then I made the back piece, fit it and gave the shape to the whole glue.

To smooth the entire outline of our beloved Walle, I wet my fingers once again and smoothed the entire structure of the sculpture, then I waited approximately 4 days for it to dry, always watching the drying process in case I found a crack.

Once it was completely dry, the painting process continues with acrylic paints with the tonalities that I had previously mentioned in the materials.

Una vez hecho esto, comencé a trabajar con la cola, hice un agujero, después hice la pieza trasera, la encajé y le fui dando la forma a toda la cola.


Para alizar todo el contorno de nuestro querido Walle, humedecí mis dedos una vez más y alise toda la estructura de la escultura, después espere 4 días aproximadamente para que se secara, observando siempre el proceso de secado por si acaso encontrara una grieta.


Una vez que estuvo seco en su totalidad, sigue el proceso de pintado con pinturas acrílicas con las tonalidades que anteriormente había mencionado en los materiales.

Now comes my favorite part... painting.

First I began to give color to the lower part of Walle, it was painted with brown acrylic paint, then with the blue color, I painted the whole body, in this part I didn't have to mix any kind of colors, since I had the same color that appears in my reference image.

I painted everything with a fine brush number 2, since I didn't want to paint some parts that don't go with that color.

Ahora viene mi parte favorita... pintar


Primero comencé a darle color a la parte inferior de Walle, el mismo fue pintado con pintura acrílica de color marrón, después con el color azul, pinte todo el cuerpo, en esta parte no tuve que mezclar ningún tipo de colores, ya que poseía el mismo que aparece en mi imagen de referencia.


Todo lo pinté con un pincel fino número 2, ya que no quería pintar algunas partes que no van de ese color.

In order to create a difference between the turbines of our partner and they could be better appreciated, I made a mixture of colors between blue and white to create a much lighter shade of blue, I painted the upper fin and the other parts mentioned above.

Then with a pencil, mark the parts of the eye, the same was painted with the color fuchsia point by point with the help of a skewer stick, since my pulse was not very good at that time, finally I added the pupil with black paint and gave it shine to give it a touch of tenderness.

Para poder crear una diferencia entre las turbinas nuestro compañero y se pudieran apreciar mejor, hice una mezcla de colores entre azul y blanco para crear una tonalidad de azul mucho más claro, pinte la aleta superior y las demás partes antes mencionada.


Después con un lápiz, marque las partes del ojo, el mismo fue pintado con el color fucsia punto por punto con la ayuda de un palo de brocheta, ya que mi pulso no estaba muy bien en ese momento, por último agregue la pupila con la pintura de color negro y le di brillo para darle un toque de ternura.

After finishing painting the whole body and eyes, I proceeded to paint the base, so I painted it with the same Walle's blue, but this time it is a little lighter to create that difference of tonalities, I mixed it with a little white to create this difference of tones.

Finally I added some parts of white, this will allow me to blur it a little because I wanted to give that foam effect at the base, since this is the sea where our dear friend is, to be able to blur it, I took advantage that the white paint is wet and with the help of brush number 2, I moistened it and spread it all over the place.

With this last step I only needed my personal signature, in this way I made my version of Walle in clay to decorate a part of my computer, in the process I came up with many ideas with this little friend.

Después de terminar de pintar todo el cuerpo y los ojos, procedí a pintar la base, así lo pinte del mismo azul de Walle, pero esta vez es un poco más claro para crear esa diferencia de tonalidades, el mismo lo mezcle con un poco de blanco para poder crear esta diferencia de tonos.


Por último agregué algunas partes de blanco, esto me permitirá difuminarlo un poco porque quería darle ese efecto de espuma en la base, ya que esto es el mar donde se encuentra nuestro querido amigo, para poderlo difuminar, aproveche que la pintura blanca está humedecida y con la ayuda del pincel número 2, lo humedecí y lo esparcí por todo el lugar.


Con este último paso solo faltaría mi firma personal, de esta manera hice mi versión de Walle en arcilla para decorar una parte de mi ordenador, en el proceso se me ocurrieron muchas ideas con este pequeño amigo.
