Today I’ll be giving life and color to one of the drawings I created for last year’s Zingtober. I only had the ink version, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give it new life and turn it into a colorful and fun illustration. Specifically, it’s the drawing for day 10 with the prompt Sweep. For that occasion, I decided to draw little Zingu the penguin, using his ice power while sweeping with a broom and singing happily.
Hoy estaré dándole vida y color a uno de los dibujos creados para el Zingtober del año pasado. Tenía el dibujo solo a tintas y pensé que esta sería la oportunidad perfecta para darle una nueva vida y convertirlo en una colorida y divertida ilustración. Específicamente es el dibujo del día 10 con el prompt Sweep.Para esa ocasión decidí dibujar al pequeño pingüinito Zingu, con su poder de hielo barriendo con una escoba mientras cantaba alegremente.
My original ink drawing was quite good, with all the lines well defined on a white background, so I will simply import this same drawing into Ibis Paint and proceed with the black ink brush and the eraser to correct imperfections and details, as well as some small mistakes in the drawing. I will also remove the shading I had done using hatchings.
Mi dibujo original a tinta estaba bastante bien y con todas las líneas bien definidas sobre fondo blanco, así que simplemente importaré este mismo dibujo a Ibis Paint y procederé con el pincel de tinta negra y con el borrador a corregir imperfecciones y detalles, así como algunos errores pequeños en el dibujo. También eliminaré el sombreado que hice utilizando hatchings.
This is how the drawing finally turned out after I corrected the imperfections and filled in some gaps that had been left by the ink. I really enjoy mixing these traditional and digital mediums in a single drawing.
Así quedó finalmente el dibujo después de que corregí las imperfecciones y rellené algunos agujeros que habían quedado de la tinta. Me gusta mucho mezclar estos medios tradicional y digital en un solo dibujo.
I colored Zingu’s details such as his gem, his ice claws, and his beak with the characteristic crown of emperor penguins.
Coloreé los detalles de Zingu como su gema, sus garras de hielo y su pico con la característica corona de los pingüinos emperadores.
The broom could not be missing, and I also created a background that makes our drawing stand out and shine, although it was quite easy since it’s a drawing with a lot of contrast and colors. I hope you liked the final result. Thank you for joining me one more day of drawing.
No podía faltar la escoba, y además realicé un fondo que hace que nuestro dibujo sobresalga y resalte, aunque fue algo muy fácil debido a que es un dibujo con mucho contraste y colores. Espero que les haya gustado el resultado final. Gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.
