Glimmo and the pierced apple
Glimmo y la manzana perforada
During Zingtober I was drawing many ink drawings in a traditional way and I really liked them, that is why I am taking them up again as sketches to create complete drawings with coloring included, using mixed technique since I combine traditional black ink with digital coloring, one of the drawings that I liked the most and whose finish caught my attention was the drawing of day five which had the prompt Pierce, for that day I wanted to draw Glimmo since he is one of the characters I draw best but with a little inspiration from the story of Wilhelm Tell, where he is forced to shoot an apple on his son’s head.
Durante el Zingtober estuve dibujando muchos dibujos a tinta de forma tradicional y la verdad me gustaron mucho, por eso los estoy retomando como bocetos para crear dibujos completos con coloreado incluido, utilizando técnica mixta ya que combino la tinta negra tradicional con el coloreado digital, uno de los dibujos que más me gustó y me llamó la atención por el acabado fue el dibujo del día cinco que tenía como prompt Pierce, para ese día quise dibujar a Glimmo ya que es de los personajes que mejor sé dibujar pero con un poco de inspiración de la historia de Wilhelm Tell, donde es obligado a disparar a una manzana sobre la cabeza de su hijo.
Coloring process

To color, as I was mentioning, I will be using digital tools, and I will start with the apple to which I will add different lights and shadows to improve its finish.
Para colorear, como iba adelantando, estaré usando herramientas digitales, y empezaré por la manzana a la que le agregaré distintas luces y sombras para mejorar su acabado.

After the apple I will also color the wooden arrow and the feathers.
Después de la manzana colorearé también la flecha de madera y las plumas.

The next step will be to color his jaw and the lower part of the shell where his belly is, this will be in a tone between green and olive, I will also add some very small details.
Lo siguiente será colorear su mandíbula y la parte de abajo del caparazón donde está su pancita, esta será de un tono entre verde y aceituna, también le haré algunos detalles muy pequeños.

We finish with Glimmo’s orange skin without forgetting that he has some details in darker colors on the joints.
Terminamos con la piel naranja de Glimmo sin olvidar que tiene algunos detalles en colores más oscuros en las articulaciones.

The next step will be his brown eyes and his small claws.
Lo siguiente serán sus ojos cafés y sus garras pequeñas.

The last details will simply go to a simple background, keeping the movement lines of the original ink drawing, I really liked the final result, so fun and colorful, thank you for accompanying me one more day drawing.
Los últimos detalles simplemente irán para un fondo simple, manteniendo las líneas de movimiento del dibujo original a tinta, me gustó mucho el resultado final, tan divertido y colorido, gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.
