Hello everyone, welcome to my blog and nice to see you all again. So I'm very excited, I can't contain my joy of learning new things. For weeks now, I've devoted my time to learning something new. My friend Mrlane has been such a great help and encouragement to me. He's been the one guiding me through this my new venture too. So I went to him one day with my dreams and goal to go into 3 dimensional art. Since my friend is pretty good with 3D concepts, he offered to teach me the little he knows. My learning journey with him on 3D creations started few weeks into 2026 and I'm happy about my progress so far.
I've been working on smaller projects that is yet to meet hive platform, I'm a little shy with the result lol.
My most recent and appealing project so far is one I created with holozing fanart. It took a lot for me to decide I wanted to do this and also post it.
I will explain a little I can about my creation and what I've learned so far.
My friend advised that I start with one of the simple software and he recommended Sculpt +, because it's user friendly, easy to navigate and learn with. I also worked with low poly meshes.
- PROCEDURES
The first thing I did was find a situated mesh to use and that was the low poly sphere. I chose this for the head region
Then I worked on the head by stretching it sidewards using move brush and on symmetry so both sides on X axis would take the effect
I chose another low poly sphere to create the ears, I stretched, moved and dragged the ears to get this shape, then I mirrored it to the left.
I used yet another low poly sphere, used the trim brush to trim part of the edge to get the open curve, then I used the flatten brush to flatten the side to give the V shape at the bottom, after which I smoothened it, attached it to the face and mirrored it to have a pair of eyes.
For this step, I created the to dots on the fanart face using a smaller sphere transformed to that size
In this step is when I worked on the nose, using a triangular mesh that I trimmed part out and use the remaining half, flattened and smoothened into the shape of the nose.
I painted my character in this step, using the matching or similar colours to the original fanart.
Then here I chose a background for my model, and rendered it.
I was really happy when I created this model, I didn't believe I could do something close to this, so I feel really proud right now. I know that with time I will do better and also use better software like the likes of Blender, Nomad sculpt and other high poly softwares.
I will keep using this one to learn and get better since I've developed interest in 3 dimensional arts.
What do you think about my first holozing project?.
