Hello friends, and hello Holozing community. I hope you are having a very nice day. These winter days are a bit cold, not too much but enough to make the weather very pleasant. This week while enjoying that climate I like so much I had an idea: to draw Zingu, because there is nothing that screams more about the love for winter than our favorite ice penguin.
Hola amigos, y hola comunidad de Holozing. Espero que estén teniendo un muy lindo día. Estos días de invierno está haciendo algo de frío, no mucho pero el suficiente para que el clima se convierta en algo muy agradable. Esta semana mientras disfrutaba de ese clima que tanto me gusta tuve una idea: dibujar a Zingu, porque no hay nada que grite más sobre el amor por el invierno que nuestro pingüino de hielo favorito.
I always carry my tablet with me to draw wherever the day takes me, and I had a sketch of Zingu started a long time ago, so while I was on my way to the university I began to draw him, trying to capture his joy and the details that make him unique.
Siempre ando con mi tablet encima para dibujar donde me agarre el día y tenía un boceto comenzado hace mucho de Zingu, así que mientras iba de camino a la universidad comencé a dibujar a Zingu, tratando de capturar su alegría y los detalles que lo hacen único.
As you can see the sketch was quite complete, so it was only left to do the final lines and start coloring. Little by little I added the details, what I like most about Zingu is that everyone makes him very cheerful in their fan art, and that has led me to internalize that he has a very happy and explosive personality.
Como ven el boceto estaba bastante completo, así que solo restaba hacer las líneas finales y comenzar a colorear, poco a poco fui agregando los detalles, lo que más me gusta de Zingu es que todos lo hacen muy alegre en su fan art, y eso ha llevado a que interiorice que tiene una personalidad muy feliz y explosiva.
I also really like the design of his ice wings matching his gem on the forehead, it makes him look both kawaii and powerful, capable of strong attacks.
Me gusta mucho también el diseño de sus alas de hielo a juego con su gema en la frente, lo hace ver a la par de kawaii, poderoso y capaz de fuertes ataques.
With my line art finished I could start coloring Zingu. Coloring a penguin is quite easy jajaja, just black and white. Luckily our friend has yellow and blue details that make him visually more attractive. He reminds me of an emperor penguin, even more in his superior phase where he shows a larger crown and a more defensive design.
Con mi line art terminado ya puedo comenzar a colorear a Zingu, colorear un pingüino es bastante fácil jajaja, solo blanco y negro, la suerte es que nuestro amigo tiene detalles en amarillo y azul que lo hacen visualmente más atractivo. Me recuerda a un pingüino emperador, aún más en su fase superior donde muestra una corona más grande y un diseño más defensivo.
I gave him rosy cheeks from the cold.

I would like Zingu’s eyes to be blue so that they match more with the original design.
Los ojos de Zingu me gustaría que fueran azules para que combinaran más con el diseño original.
Of course all the cold elements in blue cannot be missing, for which I used some white reflections to give that sensation of smooth texture like ice.
No pueden faltar todos los elementos fríos de color azul, para los que utilicé algunos reflejos en blanco para dar esa sensación de textura lisa como de hielo.

To finish all my fan art I simply made a small solid color background, to which I added some snowflakes with a shape brush. I really liked how this fan art turned out, it is one of my favorites of Zingu. I also think it perfectly captures the cold atmosphere, I don’t know what you think. Para terminar todo mi fan art simplemente hice un pequeño fondo de color sólido, al que le agregué algunos copos de nieve con un pincel de forma.
