Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great.
This is my Zingtober drawing. I ended up doing The Forest Healer with this tiny creature called Larvie ๐. I wanted to make a kinda funny scene to represent the word Blunder, so Larvieโs just there munching on some of the healer forestโs leaves.
I started everything in Corel Painter, but this time it wasnโt to test colors or anything like that, since I had to do it in black and white. So I worked in grayscale from the beginning to get the idea and sketch down. Then I finished the final details in Photoshop, tweaking lights, shadows, and little finishing touches.
Then I moved everything to Photoshop, which is where I usually do the final touches. I adjusted proportions, lighting, and a few details that didnโt quite convince me. Photoshop just feels easier for that .... everything looks cleaner. Lately, Iโve been really into mixing both programs; itโs like each one has its own mood, and combining them makes things feel more balanced.
I had my moments of doubt, ngl ๐. I was about to drop it halfway because nothing felt right, but after a while I came back to it and started to like how it was turning out. Sometimes you just need to step away for a bit and come back with a calmer mind.
I didnโt want to make it too heavy or full of details, just something that felt calm and simple. I think thatโs why I ended up liking it more than I expected.
While I was working on it, I was thinking about how much my way of working has changed. I used to get frustrated if something didnโt turn out perfect, but now I kinda like leaving it that way ..... imperfect, more free. idk, it feels more honest, more mine.
As always, I finished super late ๐ . I think it was around 3 a.m. when I finally stopped. It always happens --- . I start โjust for a bit,โ and when I check the time, itโs already the next day.
And yeah, thatโs it. It was a chill drawing, nothing planned out, but I really enjoyed making it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.
Oh, and one more thing before I wrap up...
A while ago I was looking for this little shark you see down here ๐ฆ. Itโs really special to me. I won it a long time ago here, n it was done by a person many years ago but also I consider a GREAT GREAT GREAT FRIEND now n who does amazing work , very talented๐ค.
I thought I had lost it , I was very sadโฆ but noooo! I got it back! Yes ! He found n sent it to me again, and Iโm so happy to have it with me once more.
So from now on, this shark will be keeping me company ๐
