May you live in interesting times
That is how the proverb goes I believe.
I was at the Dr's ofc at the appointed time, but due to the staff feeling empowered to put down a VET, I lost my temper and upon their request, shouted. (I got the usual "Don't Shout at me" where upon I said "I'M NOT SHOUTING, if I were shouting, you could hear me down in the parking lot" so then I gave them a sample: I'M NOT SHOUTING" whereupon I DID shout.)

They told me to GET OUT, which I did, only to realize when I got to my car they still had MY DRIVERS LICENSE.
When I went back up, the door was locked as they waited for the police to come.
The Smyrna police did come (I had called them as well), I explained.
The bimbo from the desk came out with my license in an envelope, and stated they wanted a police report.
The officer said that no crime had been commited so there would be no police report.
At their advice, the bimbo verbally stated that I was banned from that office. Which is just as well. I will never go back there for any reason.
I cannot imagine a Dr ofc REQUIRING you to wear a mask, and if you don't have one, CHARGING THE PATIENT a dollar for the mask.
There were no signs about this until you got up to the second floor office door.
I DID go back out to my car, I DID get a mask, I DID have it on when this stupidity began (neither of us could understand the other because of OUR MASKS were muffling our speech)

Doctors think they rule the world now it seems
(this part was addressed to the VA People... they were paying for all this)
So if y'all want me to go have my pipes examined, find one who won't be so empowered that the staff can REQUIRE the paying client to jump through hoops.
PS, if they try to charge a late fee or anything, let me know and I'll file suit.
