The art of escape provided by the written word is the first and greatest reason I find pleasure in it. I get that when I say the written word, people may think it's the Bible or some other religious book, but I literally mean, knowledgeable information.
Life may be stressful, full of duties and obstacles, but somehow reading slows it all down for me. I prefer realistic readings, and I'm not shocked because I'm not a fan of fictional movies. I prefer to read and delve into reality than into fictional beings, scenarios, and environments. Something about fiction makes me 'ick' and gives me an unsettling feeling. However, I'm not totally closed off to it. Despite of how it makes me feel, I still read a bit of fiction.
I discovered that fiction is not just about temporarily escaping reality, but also about embracing the chance to walk in the shoes of people and experience their victories and struggles. I had to remind myself that fictional doesn't always mean unrealistic, and I'm slowly opening up to it.
Exploring the Human Tapestry
To me, reading is an examination of the human condition. The persons I meet and the tales I read are not figments of my mind; they are reflections of humanity's immense tapestry. I see the kaleidoscope of emotions, the complexities of relationships, and the common difficulties that connect us all together through the eyes of many authors. Each book is a discussion of humanity's collective wisdom, a discourse that transcends time and location.
***What do you think about when you read an interesting book?
I'd love to know. ***
Reading is also a hunt or** a quest for knowledge** if you think about it.
Beyond the bounds of fiction, I read as a continual learner. The nonfiction shelves entice with promises of enlightenment and comprehension. Each book, whether it's about history, physics, or philosophy, is a step forward in my continual quest for enlightenment. Reading becomes a transforming adventure, broadening my comprehension and testing the limits of my knowledge.
Lastly, words can be intimate, you can use them to express absolutely any feeling and emotion, possibilities are endless.
Many persons can read the same book and each and every person gets a different reaction to it.
The reader develops an intimate relationship with the written word. The way an author weaves a sentence, the cadence of their prose, and the dance of words across the page all contribute to the creation of a one-of-a-kind symphony. I feel a communion with the author's ideas as I read, a shared moment of vulnerability and revelation. It's a silent dialogue, a dance of ideas that transcends the author's and my physical distance.
