Good day guys,
I wish to share to you my photo for today. We headed early to Bataan which is a 2-hour drive from our city, Olongapo. We took the SCTEX or Subic-Clark-Tarlac express way going to our place of destination which is in Balanga, Bataan, Philippines. We visited my brother-in-law and his family for an early Christmas get together because they can't travel this Christmas due to some health reasons.
We passed by this beautiful, awesome rice fields and look at that lovely sunrise and those clouds, Aren't they amazing! Made me feel so grateful that I have the gift of sight and that I was able to witness this awesome landscape together with my love ones, my husband and my son. I told my husband to stop the car and park for a while so we can inhale the fresh air, the scent of the grass and just thanking God for all his wonderful creations.
I had to say a prayer for our families specially my parents who were hit and were affected greatly by typhoon Odette six days ago, December 16th. My brother's roof was lifted away from his house, like literally the whole roof. I was glad they were okay and also my parents. There were piles of roofs from their neighbors in their yard from the video that he showed us. They have no power, no phone signal because a lot of electrical posts were destroyed. Uprooted trees, Lot's of debris everywhere. A lot of homes specially those made from light materials were destroyed. They are having a hard time buying food because even the stores, shops, their local market was also destroyed. The local government said that it will take them a month or more to rehabilitate the power lines. They are still recovering now the whole Visayas and Mindanao regions of our country. The effect was really catastrophic. They had storm signal no. 4 which is very destructive typhoon-force winds that reached 185 km/h.
So seeing this beautiful sight made me think of new beginnings.
Thank you for visiting my post. I am grateful already for all your love and support.
P.S.
I wish to thank for initiating this love the clouds community contest.
