ANCIENT VIEW OF TATTOOS IN AFRICA
Sometimes I often feel like having people to rewind time and keep some lost cultures of Africa. In times past, Africans used to tattoo their bodies for many acceptable reasons. They put on tattoos for identification, for beauty, and they also believe in those images they display on their bodies. The early men of Africa who were hunters believed that any animal they drew on their body and prayed about would be their hunt for the day and it somehow worked for them.

MODERN VIEW IN MY CULTURE
Civilization is the vehicle of positive and negative change. The original worship of the African culture was Traditional worship, this religious belief encouraged individuals to put on tattoos due to their backup beliefs. Civilization brought about Christianity which has at some point diversified the earlier belief in tattoo arts. I can remember saying that Civilization had both positive and negative effects. The positive side of civilization in tattoo arts is the modification of design and creation of tattoo-making devices and inks. Through civilization and improvement in science and technology, tattoo arts have become a great occupation and very selling.
In my culture, tattoos are not taboo, it only depends on parents/guardians. Speaking of myself, for now, I don't have any plans of creating tattoos on my skin because I know the result. I have parents who are devout Christians and tattoos would be the last thing they would want to see me on. The result of this action would be for them to disown me. Most parents interpret tattoos by the images on the skin, I have had incidents where my parents saw a guy on a snake tattoo and they concluded, "he must be a snake worshipper." But I have friends of the same age who have tattoos on their bodies. Those have parents who don't take their religious beliefs to the extreme. Therefore, in my culture, tattoo art is accepted but not by all.

THE BEST TATTOO ARTS I HAVE SEEN
One of the best tattoo designs I have ever seen is the one my uncle made on his chest and arms. On his chest, he tattooed a heart that appeared to look like his real heart. The tattoo blended with his chest and one could think he had an open chest. On his arm, he tattooed his girlfriend's face to show his everlasting love for her. This has motivated me to plan on having a little tattoo when I am independent. But I also have tattoos which makes me have this bad feeling of having a tattoo. I have seen people tattoo certain body parts like their tongue, inner ear, private parts and others.
But I also see it as a thing of choice, since it's one's body, the person can decide where to put on the tattoo.
Tattoo art is one of the best arts I have ever seen. The creativity and skillfulness of tattoo artists are just more than awesome. I have seen someone tattoo many things on the skin and by mere looking, one can get to know each of the images. It combines the art of drawing and painting painting. That's why I often see every tattoo artist as a god, a two-in-one artist because he has to draw and paint.
