Hello everybody, today I'm back on this community to share the first tattoo I have done this year, on this opportunity it's a tattoo that was pending for quite a while now and recently we had the time to finally do it.
Since I started as an apprentice my brother in-law was one of the first people to be supportive and offered himself to get Tattooed by me some could practice on real skin. But shortly after he had to travel to another country for work and recently he's returned after being out for several months.
Hola a todos, me encuentro de vuelta por esta comunidad para compartir el primer tatuaje que he hecho este año, en esta oportunidad se trata de un tatuaje que tenía pendiente hace un montón y recién logramos sacar algo de tiempo para realizarlo.
Desde que me inicie como aprendiz mi cuñado fue una de las primeras personas en ofrecerse para que le tatuara y practicara en piel real. Pero al poco tiempo tuvo que viajar fuera del país por motivos laborales y recién ha regresado en diciembre después de estar varios meses en el extranjero.
His return was temporary, to spend the holidays over here and to take my sister and nephew with him. This is a big and positive change for them as a family but I can't help but feeling sad because they will be really missed.
So when he told me to tattoo him before leaving we were planning the design against clock. He works with informatics so we already knew what was the theme, even though we previously though of a coffee pot or an octopus, and I already had worked on said designs beforehand, he ended up changing his mind. He chose the phrase "IN DATA WE TRUST". I suggested a few fonts but he had already made his mind.
Su regreso fue temporal, para pasar acá las navidades y buscar a mi hermana y mi sobrino para irse nuevamente del país. Si bien es un cambio enorme y favorable para ellos como familia, no puedo evitar sentir tristeza pues les extrañaremos un montón en casa.
Así que cuando me dijo que le tatuara antes de irse estuvimos pensando el diseño contra reloj. El trabaja con informática así que ya sabíamos por dónde iría la temática, aunque anteriormente habíamos pensado en una cafetera o un pulpo, y a pesar de que ya había trabajado en esos diseños desde hacía un buen tiempo, a última hora cambió de parecer. Se decidió por la frase "IN DATA WE TRUST". Le había sugerido unas fuentes pero el ya la tenía en mente.
I thought of adding some sigils and sent him other option, so we ended up combining both. I made two stencils to work with, and then we decided to get rid of some details.
I was nervous because when we begin as tattoo apprentice we wrongly think that a lettering would be easier, and that is completely wrong because it requires a lot of precision, so I warned him but he really wanted that font. So I took a deep breath and kept going.
Yo pensé en agregar sigilos y le envié otra opción, así que terminamos por combinar ambas. Realice dos plantillas para armar el diseño deseado, y decidimos prescindir de algunos detalles.
Estaba muy nerviosa debido a que cuando empezamos a tatuar solemos pensar erróneamente que las letras serán lo más sencillo, y nada más alejado de la realidad, pues requieren de mucha precisión, así que le advertí esto pero el deseaba realmente esa fuente. Así que respire profundo y seguí adelante.
I started while we had a chat and laughed about everything, my sister went in every once in a while to take pictures and laugh at his pain.
Puse manos a la obra mientras conversábamos y reíamos de todo un poco, mi hermana se asomaba cada cierto tiempo para tomar fotos y reírse de su cara de dolor.
After making the outline with a 9RL needle, I placed the second stencil to continue with the details and leaving the rest for later because to have a solid fill I had to change needles anyway for a magnum 5.
Luego de tatuar el contorno de las letras con una 9RL, coloqué la segunda plantilla para continuar los detalles y dejar el relleno de último ya que para lograr un relleno sólido cambiaría de aguja por una magnum 5.
This was the finish result, we took pictures and laughed at the fact we took so long to finally have a day to do this tattoo on him.
Éste fue el resultado final, luego tomamos fotografías mientras reíamos de todo el tiempo que nos tomó lograr tener un día para realizar el tatuaje.
