Ya hace un tiempo que andaba buscando que tatuarme, tenia ideas, pero aun nada concreto, sin embargo, he visto que varios artistas andaban buscado lienzo, eran proyectos sencillos, pequeños como para la zona de los brazos... Cuando me decían que querían, ninguno me convencía hasta que caí en el Instagram de una de las amigas de mi tatuadora, botánica (se especializa en tatuajes de flores, plantas y esas cosas) me envió lo que quería hacer, proyectos en los brazos.... Y yo... No puede ser jajaja no me puedo tatuar tanto los brazos y vi e de la espalda y ME ANOTE!
"I'd been wanting a tattoo for a while now. I had some ideas, but nothing concrete yet. However, I saw that several artists were looking for work. They were doing simple, small projects, like for the arms... When they told me what they wanted, none of them convinced me until I stumbled across the Instagram of one of my tattoo artist's friends, a botanist (she specializes in tattoos of flowers, plants, and things like that). She sent me what she wanted to do: projects on the arms... And I was like... No way! Hahaha, I can't get that many tattoos on my arms. Then I saw the one for the back and I SIGNED UP!"
Así comenzamos el proceso, era la primera vez que me iban a tatuar con un estilo free handle, (creo que me dijo que se llamaba así) donde ella no utilizaba un patrón impreso, sino que iba marcando, como ven en la fotografía, cada uno de los trazos con marcador, era como un prediseño, de hecho el tatuaje consiste en la primera parte realizar unas líneas de agua para luego hacer los trazos concretos.
"So we started the process, it was the first time I was going to get a tattoo in a free handle style (I think that's what she told me it was called) where she didn't use a printed pattern, but rather she marked, as you can see in the photograph, each of the strokes with a marker, it was like a pre-design, in fact the tattoo consists of the first part making some water lines and then making the concrete strokes."
El tatuaje abarca parte de la espalda y el hombro izquierdo, una de las decisiones que nos toco tomar, fue el hecho de tapar mi primer tatuaje de la espalda, ese tatuaje ya tenia 12 años conmigo, sin embargo pues, ya es hora de darle paso a algo nuevo, mas grande y mejor, además que al yo ser el lienzo (obviamente se me consulto) que su diseño que va a ser enorme y espectacular, este al lado de otro tatuaje, que no es de ella, me daba algo de pena, por eso le di la libertad creativa de avanzar y cubrir lo que necesitara.
"The tattoo covers part of my back and left shoulder. One of the decisions we had to make was to cover up my first back tattoo, which I'd had for 12 years. However, it was time to make way for something new, bigger, and better. Also, since I was the canvas (obviously, I was consulted) and her design, which is going to be huge and spectacular, was next to another tattoo that wasn't hers, I felt a little embarrassed. That's why I gave her the creative freedom to move forward and cover what she needed."
Aquí se ve a parte del diseño del hombro, creo que las flores, acompañadas de las pecas se van a ver geniales, me queda la duda es si la deba convencer de usar color, capaz en otro punto se realiza, ya veremos.
"Here you can see part of the shoulder design. I think the flowers, along with the freckles, are going to look great. My only question is whether I should convince her to use color; maybe it will be done at another point, we'll see."
Ya aquí estábamos en el proceso, admito que sentí que me iba a quedar dormido, la camilla estaba bastante cómoda y hacia mucho frio, me dio cosquillas cuando me tatúan cerca de del cuello y el hombro.
"We were already here in the process, I admit I felt like I was going to fall asleep, the stretcher was quite comfortable and it was very cold, it tickled when they tattooed me near my neck and shoulder."
Comenzamos alrededor de la 1pm y terminamos cerca de las 9 de la noche, se realizo todas las líneas de agua y se adelanto parte del proceso del tatuaje, admito que el toque en el medio de la espalda me gusto muchísimo jajaja, el tema real, que me dio algo de risa, era "¿Hasta que punto tenia que ir eso?", lo dejamos hasta la mitad de la espalda, mas abajo... No se si seria prudente jajajaj
"We started around 1 pm and finished around 9 pm. All the water lines were done, and we got a head start on the tattooing process. I admit I really liked the touch in the middle of my back, haha. The real question, which made me laugh a bit, was, "How far down should it go?" We stopped at the middle of my back; any lower... I don't know if that would be wise, haha."
Al día siguiente, amanecimos así, falta, pero primero hay que curar y cuidar, para que ese trabajo avance y quede cómo la obra maestra que va a hacer.

Van a ver muchos tatuajes de flores bonitas, me alegro saber que suele tatuar a mujeres pero que su experiencia tatuándome fue bastante chévere, hay que ser buen cliente para dejar buenas sensaciones y que con este proyecto pueda tener muchos trabajos próximos
