Happy Anniversary Tattooworld, I will love to share this awesome content and experience of mine to celebrate tattooworld. A tattoo to my knowledge and experience is a mark that involves a specific type of design placed or drawn on the skin to help identify or beautify the skin. I so much love tattoos and the beauty they bring to the body but religious beliefs and cultural ethics are my limitations to tattoos. tattoos are made on the body through inks, dyes, and pigment.
Tattoo in this present day is a means of body modification to help bring the beauty of the body out and make it unique in style. Growing up in a Christian home made me lose interest in tattoos because we were told that if we drew tattoos we would go to hell, This act of belief persuaded my mom, dad, and everyone around us and made them have no interest in drawing any tattoo to the body in which they believe a tattoo is a sin.
My First Experience with Tattoo
In the early century tattoo is believed to be a means of identification of workers or slaves. My first experience with tattoos was through my late grandmother. My late grandmother had three tattoo Arrows pointing to her shoulder, I remember asking her why she drew tattoos and pastor, she and everyone talked about tattoos as being evil, she then told me “This tattoo is a means of identification”, I asked how identification she then explained to me that in her early day's tattoo where used as a symbol to identify workers in a company most especially owned by foreigners, she also explained to be that when you have the tattoo you can’t steal anything from them and run away because when you get noticed the person can be killed immediately.
My late grandmother talked about slavery in her early days and that the reason why people were asked to draw permanent tattoos on their bodies is that slavery was serious in those days, and no matter what families needed to work to survive and eat because it’s not every day that is Harvest for farming.
My Opinion about tattoos
Based on my Cultural ethics and religious background tattoo is seen as a workpiece of the devil but growing up made me question so many facts and truths about these answers. During my childhood, we were made to understand and believe that tattoo is a sin and not acceptable to God and we might perish in hell. But Modernizations have made me Question facts and truth like this, I remember having a strong desire and urge to draw a particular shape on my hand, I sat down that day and kept on asking myself “Is that true, do we go to hell when we draw tattoo”, But the answer to be was it depends on the type of tattoo we draw on our body. Some people attempt to draw the devil, alien, or other scary stuff on the body just because society approves. I am not against it though, it’s a choice, but most people abuse tattoos on the body. I believe just a single or three different types of tattoo is enough on the body and if there is anything more than this it is not advisable for me.
My Best Type of Tattoo
There is this special tattoo I am craving to have on my body the tattoo of a lion and a crown, These two tattoos have always been my best tattoos as it had a specific understanding of my nature. I love lions because they are the king of the jungle and there is nowhere lions cannot adapt on land. I also love the crown because it symbolizes I am special and royal. The lion tattoo mainly symbolizes Bravery and courage, it’s a sign to the world that am brave. While the crown symbolizes, royalty, Self-confidence, power, and a lot more.
In conclusion, having a tattoo is not bad regardless of cultural and ethical beliefs or religious beliefs, but we need to avoid drawing unmeaningful tattoos and draw a meaningful tattoo that represents the nature of the type of person we are.
