The fascinating world of piercing
Piercings are piercings that we do in the body for various purposes, some decorative, others as part of our culture, in initiation rituals, marriage or simply to reach adulthood.
Last month there was an initiative in the tattoo community regarding piercings where we invited the community to tell us what was their opinion related to piercings and their experience, I made a post where I tell my experience regarding body piercings, but today I want to tell a little bit about the history of piercings and also play with hypothetical piercings that I would like to have and those that I would not
Piercing History
I have read that piercings have a historical origin dating back to ancient times from Egypt and came to India by all the influence of Muslims, in India nose piercings represent social status, commitment, fidelity in marriage and even fertility also healing properties are attributed to it decreasing menstrual pain is so popular the nose piercing is put on little girls as it is in the West piercings in the earlobes made to newborn girls.
In my part of the world, in the West it is not acceptable to pierce the face of little girls, for example to place the nostril piercing, but it is acceptable in the East, on the other hand, earlobe piercings are common, it all depends on the culture and society where we live.
Nose piercings look very beautiful in Hindu weddings, this garment represents part of the bride's trousseau, the bigger it is the greater the value given to the bride and because it is located in the nose and according to their beliefs this part of the body is related to emotions, they consider it to be very seductive. In particular I do find this piercing sexy and attractive in both men and women in a higher percentage in women.
The piercings in the face and specifically those of the nose being more popular the nostril which is located in one of the nostrils, were introduced in the United States by the hippies who adapted their fashion in the 80's after their trips to India made in the 70's, as a form of revolution to society that was very conservative.
While I was reading information about this topic and researching I was surprised to learn that this garment appears in the holy scriptures of the Bible, in Genesis 24:22 there is a verse where it relates that famous character Abraham sent one of his slaves to get a wife for his son Isaac, and as an engagement gift he gave him an earring for the nose and two gold bracelets to be used in marriage. Which piercings I would like to have and which ones I wouldn't
The piercing that I like the most has been the one that is placed in the nostril on one side of the nose the nostril, and also the one that is placed at the end of one of the eyebrows both I find very sensual and attractive if someday I would place one or two would be these.
The septum piercing which is the one that goes in the septum, and is located in the septum that separates the two nostrils is another that is very popular is also known as bull because it is similar to the ring that is placed to this animal when it becomes an ox. This is one of the piercings that I particularly would not wear, because I am a very allergic person, I always have nasal fluid to dry and take out 🤣😂🤠So it is not an option for me.
There are many types of piercings and there are people who wear them all, but I think the excesses take away from the overall beauty harmony. El fascinante mundo del piercing
Los piercings son perforaciones que nos hacemos en el cuerpo con diversos fines, algunos decorativos, otros como parte de nuestra cultura, en rituales de iniciación, de matrimonio o simplemente por llegar a la adultez.
El mes pasado se hizo una iniciativa en la comunidad de tattoo referente a los piercing donde invitamos a la comunidad a que nos dijeran cuál era su opinión relacionadas a las perforaciones y su experiencia, yo realice un post donde cuento mi experiencia con respecto a las perforaciones corporales, pero hoy quiero contar un poquito sobre la historia del piercings y también jugar con perforaciones hipotéticas que me gustarÃa tener y las que no.
Historia del Piercing
He leÃdo que las perforaciones tienen un origen histórico que datan desde la antigüedad proveniente de Egipto y llegaron a la India por toda la influencia de los musulmanes, en la India las perforaciones en la nariz representan estatus social, compromiso, fidelidad en el matrimonio e incluso fertilidad también se le atañen propiedades curativas disminuyendo el dolor menstrual es tan popular el piercing en la nariz que se lo ponen a niñas pequeñas cómo lo es en el occidente las perforaciones en los lóbulos de las orejas realizadas a las niñas recién nacidas.
En mi parte del mundo, en el occidente no es aceptable hacerle perforaciones en el rostro a niñas pequeñas, por ejemplo colocar el piercing nostril, pero si lo es para oriente, en cambio, las perforaciones en los lóbulos de las orejas si son comunes, todo depende de la cultura y la sociedad donde nos desenvolvamos.
Los piercing en la nariz se ven muy hermosos en las bodas hindúes esta prenda representa parte del ajuar de la novia, mientras más grande sea más grande es el valor que se le da a la novia y por estar ubicado en la nariz y según sus creencias esta parte del cuerpo está relacionado con las emociones consideran que es muy seductora. En lo particular sà me parece esta perforación sexy y atractiva tanto en los hombres como en las mujeres en mayor porcentaje en las mujeres.
Los piercers en el rostro y especÃficamente los de la nariz siendo más popular el nostril que es el que se ubica en una de las fosas nasales, fueron introducidos en los Estados Unidos por los hippies que adaptaron su moda en los años 80 después de sus viajes a la India realizados en la década de los 70, como una forma de revolución a la sociedad que era muy conservadora.
Mientras leÃa información sobre este tema e indagaba me sorprendió conocer que esta prenda aparece en las santas escrituras de la Biblia, en Génesis 24:22 hay un versÃculo donde relata que famoso personaje Abraham envió a uno de sus esclavos a conseguir una esposa para su hijo Isaac, y de regalo de compromiso le dio un arete para la nariz y dos pulseras de oro para ser usados en el matrimonio. Cuáles piercings me gustarÃa tener y cuáles no
El piercing que más me gusta ha sido el que se coloca en la fosa nasal a un lado de la nariz el nostril, y también el que se coloca al final de una de las cejas ambos me parece muy sensuales y atractivos si algún dÃa me colocara uno o dos serÃan estos.
El piercing septum que es el que va en el septo, y se ubica en el tabique que separa las dos fosas nasales es otro que es muy popular también se le conoce como toro porque es parecido al anillo que se le coloca a este animal cuando se convierte en buey. Este es uno de los piercings que particularmente no usarÃa, porque soy una persona muy alérgica, siempre tengo fluido nasal que secarme y sacarme 🤣😂🤠Por lo que no es una opción para mÃ.
Hay muchos tipos de piercings y hay personas que los usan todos, pero creo que los excesos quitan la armonÃa de la belleza en general.
