This time participating in its recent interaction initiative, about The tendrils, those piercings that many of us have without knowing it:

Es increíble como desconocemos el significado de muchas cosas y las satanizamos, y lo digo porque a lo largo de mi corta vida he escuchado muchos padres que están en contra que las hijas se hagan piercing en los ombligos, nariz o boca (hablando de los más populares) alegando que son cosas malas o delictivas, pero son estos mismos los que nos hacen nuestros primeros dos piercings cuando estamos bebés.

Ya conocía el concepto de los piercings pero nunca lo había asociado con las perforaciones en nuestras orejas hasta que leí la iniciativa. Es increíble como estos pequeños adornos son muchos más que accesorios representando en muchas personas expresiones personales y culturales.

It is incredible how we do not know the meaning of many things and we demonize them, and I say this because throughout my short life I have heard many parents who are against daughters getting their navels, nose or mouth pierced (talking about the most popular ones) claiming that they are bad or criminal things, but these are the same ones who make us our first two piercings when we are babies.

I was already familiar with the concept of piercings but I had never associated it with ear piercings until I read about the initiative. It's amazing how these little ornaments are so much more than accessories representing in many people personal and cultural expressions.

Con referente a mi gusto por ellos, les cuento que a mí me encantan estos piercings en las orejas, hasta los 22 años contaba con 2 y actualmente tengo 5, quizás es porque veía en muchas personas lo lindo y a la vez tan delicado que se veían que me anime hacer los otros tres.
