Aprender a confiar… y también a dudar [ESP/ENG]

Hello, sending you all a warm and heartfelt greeting. I am grateful to God for all His blessings.

Today, I want to share with you one of my experiences alongside my daughter — the purest kind of love. This reunion, which continues to become something wonderful despite the days spent away from my beloved homeland. Always grateful to God for making it possible.

The moments shared with a loved one cannot be compared to anything else; in this case, with my greatest joy and my biggest motivation to keep going. They are moments filled with emotion and life lessons.

Now, to walk you through the events of that day — and the reason behind the title — I’ll share it in a narrative way:

One day, we went out with the purpose of seeking information about my immigration situation. When we arrived, we didn’t receive positive answers, and our spirits dropped.

At that moment, a young woman approached us. In fact, there was a large group of people outside that institution offering help with passport procedures, immigration status, humanitarian aid, among other things. This gave us a certain sense of trust.

She offered us information to help resolve my situation. We trusted her words and, in that moment, believed in the good intentions she showed. My daughter, although hesitant at first, also decided to trust.

We paid the amount she requested to begin the process, with hope and faith in her honesty. However, we later realized that someone’s word is not always enough… it had been a scam.

These are moments that get tattooed on your heart, leaving memories that stay with you forever.

Despite what happened, we decided to keep moving forward. We walked slowly until we reached a beautiful park here in Lima. At first, we were very sad, but that place gave us something different.

Nature reminded us that even in the middle of difficult situations, there is always something beautiful to observe. We held hands, took a short walk, and found a bit of peace in our hearts.

Something wonderful can also come from something painful.

That’s life: even when storms come, it’s important to have the conviction that everything can be achieved. All it takes is trust, faith, hope, and above all, discipline to keep moving forward.

And most importantly, to trust in yourself to overcome every obstacle that comes your way. 🫶✨

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de mis experiencias al lado de mi hija, el amor más puro. Este reencuentro que se convierte en algo maravilloso constantemente a pesar de los días lejos de mi tierra amada. Agradecida siempre con Dios por hacerlo posible.

Los momentos compartidos con un ser querido no tienen comparación con nada; en este caso, con mi mayor alegría y mi mayor aliento para seguir. Son instantes llenos de emoción y lecciones de vida.

Pero para irnos a los eventos de este día -y del porqué del título- se los resumo de forma narrativa:

Un día salimos con el propósito de buscar información sobre mi situación migratoria. Al llegar al lugar, no obtuvimos respuestas positivas y nuestros ánimos decayeron.

En ese instante, se nos acercó una chica. En realidad, había un grupo grande de personas en las puertas de esa institución ofreciendo ayudas con trámites de pasaporte, estatus migratorio, ayudas humanitarias, entre otros. Esto nos generó cierta confianza.

Ella nos ofreció información para solventar mi situación. Confiamos en su palabra y, en ese momento, creímos en la buena intención que mostraba. Mi hija, aunque al principio dudó, decidió confiar también.

Le cancelamos el monto que pedía para iniciar el trámite, con esperanza y fe en su honestidad. Sin embargo, luego nos dimos cuenta de que no basta con la palabra de alguien… había sido una estafa.

Son momentos que se tatúan en el corazón, dejando recuerdos que permanecen para siempre.

A pesar de lo sucedido, decidimos continuar nuestro camino. Caminamos poco a poco hasta llegar a un parque hermoso aquí en Lima. Al principio, estábamos muy tristes, pero ese lugar nos regaló algo distinto.

La naturaleza nos recordó que, incluso en medio de situaciones difíciles, siempre hay algo hermoso que observar. Nos tomamos de la mano, hicimos un breve recorrido y encontramos un poco de paz en nuestros corazones.

De lo malo también puede surgir algo maravilloso.

Así es la vida: aunque lleguen tormentas, es necesario tener la convicción de que todo se puede lograr. Solo hace falta confiar, tener fe, esperanza y, sobre todo, disciplina para seguir adelante.

Y, muy importante, confiar en uno mismo para superar cada obstáculo que se presente.
