¿Sabes que escoger un regalo puede significar un gran estrés en Navidad?
Sí, es un proceso un tanto complicado; pero cuando conocemos a las personas -porque ellos dan pistas- podemos ir directo a lo que es significativo para ellos.
No, no vamos a hacer un listado de qué regalar según el sexo, la edad o el parentesco; pero sí, a realizar una Actividad Interactiva para compartir con todos, cómo es el regalo, cuáles prefiero y qué hago en esta época para escogerlos.
Esto nos puede servir de mucha ayuda, porque faltan pocos días para el 25 de diciembre.
Hay elecciones muy claras
Fíjate en algo que te voy a compartir y que no parece tan importante, pero lo es, y es que el estrés que produce la festividad navideña puede ser elevado, y uno de los factores generadores es la escogencia del regalo.
A veces, no tenemos suficiente cantidad de dinero como para darle a todo el mundo, y es importante que no nos dejemos llevar, ni por la moda, anuncios, publicidad, ni por nuestras perspectivas personales.
Existen regalos que ya están predichos, como el de los niños; ellos hacen sus cartas y durante un buen tiempo nos están recordando qué es lo que quieren para Navidad.
Pero tú puedes sugerirles cosas que necesitan.
Ahora bien, esta es una maravillosa oportunidad para generar creatividad en los niños, en los demás y también en ti.
Por eso, es importante que seas creativo, pues no todo se compra, y que muchas cosas pueden ser detalles hechos por ti, o personalizar los regalos de tal manera, que se aprecie el valor que los otros tienen en tu vida.
Veamos algunas sugerencias o ideas de regalos de Navidad que me dieron… ¡Mis propios vecinos!
Ropa, ropa, ropa y accesorios
Esmeralda es mi vecina y tiene 80 años.
Casi toda su familia está fuera; sin embargo, tiene algunos sobrinos aquí; y como ella es costurera, muchos de los regalos los hace ella misma.
Porque ese es el regalo que a ella le gusta dar, el que se utilice, ropa para vestir.
Por otro lado, mi vecina Yenny, profesora universitaria, opina que los accesorios son el regalo ideal porque son más objetivos y menos subjetivos, por lo que puedes cometer menos errores.
A ella le gustan los anillos, las cadenas, los relojes; y, claro está, siempre pensando en la otra persona.
En otro orden de ideas, mi tía Lidia, que vive cerca, es también partidaria de regalar -y en ofertas, mejor- blusas, pantalones cortos para hombres y mucha ropa interior…
-¡Siempre se necesitan! -dice ella.
Bebidas y las sugerencias de una experta
En realidad, me estimuló realizar esta actividad interactiva una de mis vecinas, Mercedes.
Ella tiene su propia tienda tipo almacén y vende de todo, desde juguetes hasta ropa; así que le pregunté sobre cuál creía ella que era el mejor regalo o qué sugerencia nos podría dar; y me pareció interesante llevar esto a publicarlo en #Hive
Mercedes me responde, en forma categórica, que la gente compra por tendencia, las novedades, como dispositivos electrónicos tipo audífonos inalámbricos, parlantes inteligentes, cargadores para teléfonos y hasta los teléfonos mismos, son muy reclamados.
Y que debemos conocer las preferencias de la persona.
Ella me refiere que hay un tipo de durabilidad que debemos tener presente, además de la del tiempo, la durabilidad emocional, porque debemos pensar en que esa emoción perdure y tenga efectos positivos.
Si la persona es amante de cocinar, pues darle regalos para la cocina; igual con la costura y con los deportes; pero si es una persona que practique música, no es bueno meterse en esa área.
Por último, para mi primo Valerio, los regalos siempre se comen o se degustan.
Una buena botella de sangría, de vino, de whisky o de un buen ron venezolano, son los mejores regalos, siempre que sean mayores de edad.
O también, un buen pan de jamón, una torta navideña o galletas suficientemente y decoradas.
Elegir un regalo perfecto: Primera Actividad Interactiva de Navidad
No, no es fácil, nunca conocemos completamente a una persona ni sabemos en qué estado emocional se encuentra, pero hacemos nuestro mejor esfuerzo.

Do you know how choosing a gift can be a big stress at Christmas?
Yes, it is a somewhat complicated process; but when we know the people -because they give clues- we can go straight to what is meaningful to them.
No, we are not going to make a list of what to give according to sex, age or relationship; but we are going to make an Interactive Activity to share with everyone what the gift is like, which ones I prefer and what I do at this time of the year to choose them.
This can be very helpful, because December 25 is just a few days away.
There are very clear choices
Notice something that I am going to share with you and that does not seem so important, but it is, and that is that the stress produced by the Christmas holiday can be high, and one of the generating factors is the choice of gift.
Sometimes, we do not have enough money to give to everyone, and it is important that we do not get carried away, neither by fashion, advertisements, publicity, nor by our personal perspectives.
There are gifts that are already predicted, like the children's; they make their letters and for a long time they are reminding us what they want for Christmas.
But you can suggest things they need.
Now, this is a wonderful opportunity to generate creativity in children, in others and also in you.
Therefore, it is important that you be creative, because not everything can be bought, and many things can be details made by you, or personalize the gifts in such a way that the value that others have in your life is appreciated.
Let's see some suggestions or ideas for Christmas gifts that I got from... My own neighbors!
Clothes, clothes, clothes and accessories
Esmeralda is my neighbor and she is 80 years old.
Almost all of her family is away; however, she has some nieces and nephews here; and since she is a seamstress, many of the gifts she makes herself.
Because that's the gift she likes to give, the one that is used, clothes to wear.
On the other hand, my neighbor Yenny, a university professor, thinks that accessories are the ideal gift because they are more objective and less subjective, so you can make fewer mistakes.
She likes rings, chains, watches; and, of course, always thinking about the other person.
On another note, my aunt Lidia, who lives nearby, is also in favor of giving blouses, men's shorts and lots of underwear as gifts -and on sale, even better...-
-You always need them! -she says.
Drinks and an expert's suggestions
I was actually stimulated to do this interactive activity by one of my neighbors, Mercedes.
She has her own warehouse-type store and sells everything from toys to clothes; so I asked her what she thought was the best gift or what suggestion she could give us; and I thought it would be interesting to publish this in #Hive.
Mercedes answers me, categorically, that people buy by trend, the novelties, such as electronic devices like wireless headphones, smart speakers, phone chargers and even the phones themselves, are in great demand.
And that we must know the preferences of the person.
She tells me that there is a type of durability that we must keep in mind, besides that of time, the emotional durability, because we must think that this emotion lasts and has positive effects.
If the person is a lover of cooking, then give gifts for the kitchen; the same with sewing and sports; but if it is a person who practices music, it is not good to get into that area.
Finally, for my cousin Valerio, gifts are always eaten or tasted.
A good bottle of sangria, wine, whiskey or a good Venezuelan rum are the best gifts, as long as they are of age.
Or also, a good ham bread, a Christmas cake or cookies sufficiently decorated.

No, it's not easy, we never fully know a person nor do we know what emotional state they are in, but we do our best.
