Muy oportuna la iniciativa para reflexionar sobre la conciencia colectiva, es como buscar respuesta a una de las necesidades más acuciantes del mundo actual, debido a que se ha generado una denigrante pérdida de valores humanos que reclama de una acción mancomunada en pos de incidir sobre las multitudes, para fortalecer las mejores cualidades humanas.

Cuando me refiero a la pérdida de valores, debo reconocer la heterogeneidad existente, donde también hay muchas personas portadoras de sensibilidad y humanismo, en las cuales debemos apoyar nuestra labor para que con su luz iluminen a quienes han sido víctimas de la nefasta oleada de pérdida de valores.
Indudablemente, el alma se oprime cuando en determinados espacios sociales, comerciales o de otro tipo, no solo afrontamos situaciones de desamor, sino lo que es más grave aun: de agresividad. Lamentablemente estas situaciones están ocurriendo, en lo cual se percibe un desbalance entre el nivel académico y el educativo.
Esto demuestra insuficiencia en el papel de la escuela. Cuando me desempeñaba como profesor, mi objetivo supremo estaba encaminado a que mis alumnos fueran buenas personas en cualquier lugar donde se encontraran, a despertar en ellos la sensibilidad humana, el respeto, el amor y la amistad; así como el rechazo a la violencia.
El ejemplo siempre ha sido una premisa en mi papel como educador, esto es lo que hace virtuosa nuestra enseñanza, lo que unido al tratamiento respetuoso y amable estimula la formación de conductas acordes con nuestras aspiraciones. Otro factor muy importante lo constituye el hecho de promover el intercambio, pues la conciencia no se construye con imposiciones sino propiciando que el sujeto sobre el cual estamos incidiendo sea un ente activo.
En este momento viene a mi mente un incidente que me resultó significativo: al concluir una clase donde se había abordado la inclusión, específicamente sobre la problemática racial, una alumna me esperó alfinalizar para decirme que como le hubiese gustado que sus padres me hubieran escuchado, y entonces me contó el conflicto que tenía. Este es solo un ejemplo de todos los que tuve durante mi larga carrera.
El deterioro de la conciencia se hace muy perceptible en redes sociales como facebook, donde con frecuencia y también con dolor, vemos la facilidad con que las personas se muestran agresivas, utilizando el espacio para descargar sus rencores. Una situación muy peculiar es la que se da entre algunos cubanos que residen en Estados Unidos que arremeten contra quienes vivimos en Cuba.

Lo más terrible es que muestran su empeño en hacer sufrir al pueblo cubano, olvidando lazos familiares y amistosos. Precisamente es este un fiel reflejo de pérdida de valores y sentimientos, para lo cual se impone la necesidad de hacerlos reflexionar con la mayor diplomacia, como lo han hecho hasta ahora los miembros de PUENTES DE AMOR, liderados por Carlos Lazo.
Antes de concluir quiero referirme al extraordinario papel que desempeña nuestra comunidad de Holos&Lotus, y también HIVE en sentido general, en el mejoramiento humano, pues he incursionado en varias comunidades y en todas he encontrado el mismo respeto y amabilidad; solo que en esta todas las publicaciones e iniciativas se encuentran encaminadas al crecimiento personal y por ende, a la formación de una conciencia colectiva.

Undoubtedly, the soul is oppressed when in certain social, commercial or other spaces, we not only face situations of lack of love, but what is even more serious: of aggressiveness. Unfortunately these situations are occurring, in which an imbalance is perceived between the academic and educational levels.
This demonstrates the inadequacy of the role of the school. When I worked as a teacher, my supreme objective was to make my students good people wherever they were, to awaken in them human sensitivity, respect, love and friendship, as well as the rejection of violence.
Example has always been a premise in my role as an educator, this is what makes our teaching virtuous, which together with respectful and kind treatment stimulates the formation of behaviors in accordance with our aspirations. Another very important factor is the fact of promoting exchange, because awareness is not built with impositions but by encouraging the subject on whom we are influencing to be an active entity.
At this point an incident comes to mind that was significant to me: at the end of a class where inclusion was discussed, specifically racial issues, a student waited for me at the end to tell me how she wished her parents had listened to me, and then she told me about the conflict she had. This is just one example of many I had during my long career.
The deterioration of conscience becomes very noticeable in social networks such as facebook, where we often, and also painfully, see the ease with which people are aggressive, using the space to vent their grudges. A very peculiar situation is the one that occurs among some Cubans living in the United States who lash out against those of us who live in Cuba.

The most terrible thing is that they show their determination to make the Cuban people suffer, forgetting family and friendly ties.
