Hola, hoy vengo a escribir sobre el libro que he estado leyendo. Se llama Crear desde acá, un libro escrito por Nicole Chapaval de Platzi. Antes de comenzar, realizaré una reflexión sobre la importancia que ha tenido la lectura para mí y también una breve introducción de cómo he aprendido en Platzi.

Para mí, la lectura es un espacio donde puedo estar en un instante adquiriendo la sabiduría de otra persona. Conocer los pensamientos de autores de libros para mí es fundamental, porque así me llevo muchos consejos de vida de personas que han recorrido diferentes experiencias. Entonces, para mí leer significa mejorar mi pensamiento, abrirme a nuevas ideas para que me ayuden a pensar mejor o construir una nueva visión del mundo, mi mundo, y siempre me gusta leer libros para actualizarme.
He estado leyendo libros de ventas, de superación personal, libros que me ayuden a conseguir mis objetivos. Sobre todo, aprender de diferentes temas me ayuda a tener una mejor cultura sobre el mundo y seguir creciendo en conocimiento. Pienso que para mí hay mucho que leer, autores por descubrir, y por eso me entusiasma leer nuevos libros.
Les cuento que desde 2020 he estado aprendiendo en Platzi, la mejor plataforma online de educación en Latinoamérica. Desde que entré a estudiar ahí, para mí era nuevo todo lo relacionado con startups. Cuando fui aprendiendo de cómo, con tecnología y las personas adecuadas, se puede cambiar el mundo, me dio una sensación de querer ser parte de toda esta evolución y aprendizaje.
Por eso he estado aprendiendo sobre inteligencia artificial, marketing, inglés. Me he quedado sorprendido de todo lo que he aprendido y mejorado en mi aprendizaje. Aquí aprendí a confiar en mis habilidades de crear blogs porque fui parte del programa de Platzi Contributor. Bueno, en otro post les cuento sobre esto. Ahora vayamos al libro de Platzi a continuación.
Mis aprendizajes de lo que he leído del libro son los siguientes. Todavía no lo he terminado, pero se los quiero compartir.
La autora menciona la importancia del networking y cómo conectar con la gente. Ella ha utilizado el café como una forma de socializar con las personas que conoce del team. Me parece una buena estrategia. En lo personal, reunirse a tomar algo con las personas con las que uno trabaja puede generar buenas ideas y además permite conocer mejor a las personas con las que uno pasa la mayor parte del tiempo en el trabajo.
He aprendido también que una persona que te apoye con ideas para mejorar, o en otras palabras, el feedback, es un regalo. Es algo que me va a servir para mejorar mi trabajo o mis actividades, porque solo cuando otra persona te dice qué estás haciendo bien o qué estás haciendo mal, y te dicen cómo puedes mejorar, se puede aprender.

Sé que la cultura también es diferente en México que en Colombia. Por eso, leyendo este libro, he aprendido que las palabras pueden tener diferentes significados para las personas, y más si uno es extranjero en un país. Sé que tengo que aprender cuáles son las palabras más usadas en un país. Esto me ayuda a sentirme identificado en un lugar y a saber comunicarme mejor con los demás.
Aprendí también sobre el cambio de valores que ha realizado Platzi. Cómo han sido una empresa que, para tomar decisiones, considera que los datos son sumamente importantes. Pero, como dice la autora, no se puede tener la certeza absoluta. Han cambiado su lema a search for the truth.

Me gusta que la empresa está construyendo desde la realidad de Latinoamérica. Se habla de que cada día se encuentran cosas nuevas y que construir desde acá es algo satisfactorio, más cuando se busca empoderar a jóvenes con el conocimiento de la tecnología para cambiar la realidad. También, personalmente, sé que al estudiar y tener acceso a las herramientas adecuadas, el futuro de una persona puede cambiar, y en Platzi se han visto muchas historias de éxito.
También el libro menciona la metodología de estudio y el poder de la comunidad, donde puedes interactuar con muchas personas que tienen diferentes conocimientos. Puedes conocer gente con la que puedes hacer proyectos en conjunto. Además, habla sobre la importancia del aprendizaje colaborativo. Esto para mí es fundamental, porque puedo ver las ideas de otros estudiantes. Me gusta aprender marketing y leer las experiencias de otras personas.

Se menciona la importancia de la comunidad latinoamericana como la familia es un factor fundamental que influye para toda la vida. También cómo evoluciona una persona cuando sale del núcleo familiar. A los latinoamericanos nos toca interactuar con diferentes núcleos en la sociedad, desde el trabajo, la universidad, amistades, etc.
En las startups, la palabra de moda es comunidad, y más ahora, porque un buen aprendizaje es cuando puedes juntarte con tus amigos a crear proyectos o a aprender. Esto para mí Platzi lo ha entendido, porque tienen una buena metodología, como tener una gran comunidad en WhatsApp que conecta a las personas. Y bueno, también con el aprendizaje cuando hacen retos.
He sido parte de esto porque actualmente estoy realizando el reto de vibecoding de Platzi. Aunque este ya terminó, lo estoy realizando por aprendizaje, para adquirir herramientas de inteligencia artificial y para aprender a crear agentes.

Hello, today I want to write about the book I have been reading. It is called Create from Here, a book written by Nicole Chapaval from Platzi. Before starting, I will share a reflection on the importance reading has had for me, as well as a brief introduction about how I have learned at Platzi.

For me, reading is a space where I can instantly acquire the wisdom of another person. Knowing the thoughts of book authors is fundamental to me because I gain many life lessons from people who have gone through different experiences. So, for me, reading means improving my thinking, opening myself to new ideas that help me think better or build a new vision of the world—my world—and I always like to read books to stay updated.
I have been reading books about sales, personal development, and books that help me achieve my goals. Above all, learning about different topics helps me have a better understanding of the world and continue growing in knowledge. I believe there is so much for me to read, many authors to discover, and that is why I get excited about reading new books.
Since 2020, I have been learning at Platzi, the best online education platform in Latin America. When I started studying there, everything related to startups was new to me. As I learned how technology and the right people can change the world, I felt a strong desire to be part of this evolution and learning process.
That is why I have been learning about artificial intelligence, marketing, and English. I have been amazed by everything I have learned and how much I have improved. Here, I learned to trust my ability to create blogs because I was part of the Platzi Contributor program. I will talk more about that in another post. Now, let’s move on to the book.
Here are some of the lessons I have learned so far. I have not finished the book yet, but I want to share them with you.
The author highlights the importance of networking and how to connect with people. She has used coffee as a way to socialize with people from her team. I think this is a great strategy. Personally, meeting to have a drink with coworkers can lead to great ideas and also helps you get to know the people you spend most of your time with at work.
I have also learned that having someone who gives you ideas to improve—or in other words, feedback—is a gift. It is something that helps me improve my work or activities because only when someone tells you what you are doing right or wrong, and how you can improve, real learning happens.

I also understand that culture is different in Mexico and Colombia. From reading this book, I have learned that words can have different meanings depending on the culture, especially if you are a foreigner. I know I need to learn the most commonly used words in each country. This helps me feel more connected and communicate better with others.
I also learned about the change in values at Platzi. They are a company that considers data extremely important when making decisions. However, as the author says, there is no absolute certainty. They changed their motto to search for the truth.

I like that the company is building from the reality of Latin America. It talks about how new things are discovered every day and how building from here is satisfying, especially when empowering young people with technology to change reality. Personally, I also believe that studying and having access to the right tools can change a person’s future, and Platzi has many success stories that prove this.
The book also mentions the study methodology and the power of community, where you can interact with people who have different knowledge. You can meet people to work on projects together. It also highlights the importance of collaborative learning. This is fundamental for me because I can see other students’ ideas. I enjoy learning marketing and reading about other people’s experiences.

The importance of the Latin American community is also mentioned. Family is a fundamental factor that influences life. It also explains how a person evolves when leaving their family environment. As Latin Americans, we interact with different social circles such as work, university, and friendships.
In startups, the trending word is community, especially now, because great learning happens when you collaborate with friends to create projects or learn together. For me, Platzi understands this very well. They have built a strong methodology, including a large WhatsApp community that connects people. They also reinforce learning through challenges.
I have been part of this because I am currently doing the Platzi vibecoding challenge. Even though it has already ended, I am still doing it to keep learning, acquire AI tools, and learn how to build agents.
