EL CUIDADO AMBIENTAL COMO ACCIÓN DE RESPETO A LA PACHAMANA [ESP - ENG]

Asimismo que sirvan estas línea de escritura para participar en la iniciativa que promueve el equipo central de esta maravillosa comunidad, la cual está orientado a la celebración del día internacional de nuestra gran Pachamana.

Ahora bien, antes de iniciar como el abordaje reflexivo en el tema ambiental, me gustaría que entremos en contexto, donde es preciso asumir que el termino Pachamana, hace referencia a una especie de deidad que se maneja en los pueblos de los Andes y que hace mención a una diosa adorada por los habitantes del lugar.

De manera que sí miramos en retrospectiva, podemos identificar a través de la mitología Inca que está Diosa es considerada producto de sus capacidades en términos de fertilidad, siembra y cosecha, la misma se proyecta encarnada sobre las grandes montaña y que de cierta manera en ciertas circunstancias hace valer sus derechos y los refleja como efectos negativos sobre ella misma.

Efectos que como humanos, hemos de evidenciar en forma de terremotos, inundaciones que son un simple mecanismo de alerta que esta gran Deidad a quien hemos denominado “Pachamana” no está manifestando, donde nos hace saber que estamos haciendo las cosas de manera equivocada.

Bajo este enfoque, debemos estar conscientes que nuestra sociedad se mueve por tres áreas del saber elementales y que responde a un componente económico, social y ambiental, siendo éste último, el más descuidado y sobre el cual han recaído gran mayoría de los efectos negativos ocasionados por el movimiento y desarrollado de la humanidad sobre el planeta.

Lamentablemente como ciudadanos, nos hemos centrado en el bienestar económico y en mejorar nuestra calidad de vida, a partir del uso indiscriminado de los recursos naturales que nuestra gran Pachamana ha puesto a nuestra disposición, de manera que como humanos hemos llegado a ser inescrupulosos y sin los valores necesarios para respetar a nuestra gran Diosa (La Tierra).

Sin duda como especie de este planeta, hemos sido los más beneficiados, pero al mismo tiempo somos los que mayor perjuicios hemos provocado, por consiguiente, el irrespeto a la biodiversidad y a los recursos naturales, son claras evidencia de lo mal que hemos utilizado los recursos que se nos han conferido.

En este sentido y partiendo de lo anterior, me permito cuestionarnos y preguntarnos ¿Qué ocurriría si la Pachamana exige sus derechos? para muchos es una interrogante sin sentido, a mi modo de ver las cosas, es una realidad que se hace evidente ya que de cierta forma nuestra sociedad no ha respetado los espacios mínimos planetario, para que el equilibrio de nuestro entorno no se sienta comprometido.

Si miramos al pasado, no damos cuenta que grandes ciudades o civilizaciones, han fundado sus bases en la cercanía de ríos, lagos, entre otros, con un objetivo simple económicamente hablando y que responde al poder aprovechar la rentabilidad económica que el cauce fluvial puede generar.

Por consiguiente, hemos sido testigo en ocasiones, de cómo la naturaleza nos evidencia su grandeza y poderío, generando grandes tsunamis, terremotos, entre otros, afectando la vida de todos los que habitan estos espacios mal posicionado, sin duda, son acciones que responden a una forma de tensión en los ecosistemas y que se manifiestan con este tipo de eventos fatales para la sociedad, donde la naturaleza nos exhorta a identificar los graves efectos que estamos causando por el mal uso a los recursos naturales.

En este sentido y como forma de proyectar lo anterior a nivel local, puedo mencionar que hace un par de meses, hemos sido testigos de cómo el río Catatumbo, Zulia, Venezuela, ha vuelto a su cauce natural, después de que este, haya sido manipulado intencionalmente por la sociedad, como un mecanismo de mejorar los retorno económicos de la zonas agrícolas de la región.

Tristemente, el retomar a su cauce natural, ha provocado grandes pérdidas económicas en la región con más de 35000 hectáreas de terreno productivo totalmente inundadas y con cientos de familias damnificados, todo producto de no respetar los espacios naturales y los equilibrio preexistentes en los diferentes ecosistemas de nuestra tierra.

De manera que estas reacciones y cambios en nuestro entorno, nos permite ser testigos a mi modo de ver estos escenarios como la antesala a la llegada de un punto sin retorno, donde nuestro planeta hará valer sus derechos más allá de nuestras pretensiones.

Now, before starting as the reflective approach to the environmental issue, I would like to enter into context, where it is necessary to assume that the term Pachamana, refers to a kind of deity that is handled in the villages of the Andes and refers to a goddess worshiped by the inhabitants of the place.

So if we look back, we can identify through the Inca mythology that this Goddess is considered a product of her abilities in terms of fertility, sowing and harvesting, the same is projected incarnated on the great mountains and in a certain way in certain circumstances asserts her rights and reflects them as negative effects on herself.

Effects that as humans, we have to evidence in the form of earthquakes, floods that are a simple warning mechanism that this great Deity whom we have called "Pachamana" is not manifesting, where it lets us know that we are doing things in the wrong way.

Under this approach, we must be aware that our society moves through three basic areas of knowledge and that it responds to an economic, social and environmental component, the latter being the most neglected and on which have fallen most of the negative effects caused by the movement and development of humanity on the planet.

Unfortunately as citizens, we have focused on economic well-being and improving our quality of life, based on the indiscriminate use of the natural resources that our great Pachamana has placed at our disposal, so that as humans we have become unscrupulous and without the necessary values to respect our great Goddess (The Earth).

Undoubtedly, as a species on this planet, we have been the most benefited, but at the same time we are the ones that have caused the most damage, therefore, the disrespect to biodiversity and natural resources are clear evidence of how badly we have misused the resources that have been given to us.

In this sense, and based on the above, I would like to question ourselves and ask ourselves what would happen if the Pachamana demands its rights? For many it is a meaningless question, but in my opinion, it is a reality that is evident because in a certain way our society has not respected the minimum planetary spaces, so that the balance of our environment does not feel compromised.

If we look at the past, we do not realize that large cities or civilizations have founded their bases in the vicinity of rivers, lakes, among others, with a simple objective economically speaking and that responds to the power to take advantage of the economic profitability that the riverbed can generate.

Therefore, we have witnessed on occasions, how nature shows us its greatness and power, generating large tsunamis, earthquakes, among others, affecting the lives of all those who inhabit these poorly positioned spaces, no doubt, are actions that respond to a form of tension in ecosystems and that are manifested with this type of fatal events for society, where nature urges us to identify the serious effects we are causing by the misuse of natural resources.

In this sense and as a way of projecting the above at a local level, I can mention that a couple of months ago, we have witnessed how the Catatumbo River, Zulia, Venezuela, has returned to its natural course, after it has been intentionally manipulated by society as a mechanism to improve the economic returns of the agricultural areas of the region.

Sadly, the return to its natural course has caused great economic losses in the region with more than 35,000 hectares of productive land totally flooded and hundreds of families affected, all as a result of not respecting the natural spaces and the pre-existing balance in the different ecosystems of our land.

So these reactions and changes in our environment allow us to witness, in my opinion, these scenarios as the prelude to the arrival of a point of no return, where our planet will assert its rights beyond our pretensions.
