Mi pasión por el cine me ha llevado a muchos filmes a lo largo de mi vida. Algunos han dejado en mí profundas huellas y otros me han inquietado ya que han cuestionado mi mundo. Cuando esto me pasa, recuerdo a mi abuelita Bertita’s diciéndome: “Beckita, siempre estás buscándole las cinco patas al gato. Deja al mundo como esta”. Era una niña preguntona y fastidiosa.

Para mí esto fue lo que pasó, los seres humanos por culpa de los adultos dejamos al mundo como está. No alzamos la voz ni protestamos. Dejamos que otros decidan por nosotros.
Todavía se mantienen paradigmas que tienen al mundo patas de cabeza y los seres humanos totalmente locos.

Se me hizo difícil escoger entre Enemigo Mío y Avatar. El primero es un filme de ciencia ficción que fue estrenado en el año 1985. A mí me fascinó a pesar de las críticas y de que no fue un éxito taquillero, pero su mensaje me llegó al alma. La relación entre los dos enemigos que juntos lucharon por sobrevivir.

Sin embargo, para acompañar a los amigos de la Comunidad Hive account@holos-lotus en el Concurso: "Films que inspiran", me decidí por Avatar. Este filme fue estrenado en diciembre del año 2009.

Este filme me hizo reiterar de lo que es capaz el hombre por la codicia, el dinero y poder. Siempre lo he sabido, pero este es uno de los filmes que me lo ha reafirmado. Han destruido nuestro planeta y cuando no quede nada ¿qué harán? Destruir otros. Somos como langostas, por donde pasamos no dejamos nada. Errores tras errores han ocasionado eventos negativos como la destrucción de la capa de ozono, muertes de muchas especies de animales entre otros.

En ese momento vi el pasado, como nuestros ancestros fueron pisoteados y mancillados por civilizaciones que solo vinieron a llevarse el oro y las piedras preciosas. Destruyeron todos los vestigios e impusieron una religión.

En el planeta ya no quedan reservas naturales, cuencas hidrográficas y muchas especies están en peligro de extinción. Viene a mi mente las palabras de mi abuelita: “deja el mundo como está,” pero sigo cuestionando lo que ella decía. Me pregunto: cuando acaben con el planeta ¿A dónde irán?

La basura alcanza niveles elevados, se producen más de 2.100 millones de toneladas de desechos cada año. Hay una escasez de agua. También los animales están muriendo por los residuos plásticos, aceites y petróleo. El plástico representa el 85% de los residuos que llegan a los océanos según cifras del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente, publicado el 21 de octubre de 2021. Para todo lo anterior expuesto no tengo respuestas. Esto me incomoda. Cuando no quede vida en los océanos, ríos y mares ¿Qué harán? ¿A dónde irán? Será esto lo que buscan en Marte con tanta desesperación. Inventarán un programa parecido a Avatar, para destruir lo que consigan a su paso.

En este filme vi una civilización pacifica, espiritual y mágica; los Na’vi del planeta Pandora ir a la guerra. Sin tener esperanza, pero de pie defendiendo a sus vida, costumbres y ancestros. También plasma como los seres humanos engañan y engatusan para lograr los objetivos del más fuerte y poderoso.

Los seres humanos no aceptan sus errores y esto se ve en todos los niveles, hasta en el cine, donde en la entrega de los premios Oscar del año 2010, un filme de la guerra se llevó la estatuilla a la Mejor película: "En tierra hostil". Esto para mí fue un exabrupto, pero la mayoría de los seres humanos somos así. Queda una minoría que tratamos de hacer el bien, de pensar en verde, de proteger a los animales en peligro de extinción, de recoger la basura y plásticos en las playas como mi amiga Hive account@geadriana, de sembrar un árbol, reciclar y no quemar basura. Pero somos pocos, aun así seguimos llevando un mensaje conservacionista.

¿A dónde irán los que sobrevivan?, a saquear otros planetas y otros mundos como el de la película Avatar. Todavía a mi edad de 60 años nunca estoy conforme porque sé que sí se puede ser mejor ser humano. Trato cada día de hablar por las futuras generaciones para que consigan un planeta óptimo para vivir y disfrutar de lo que yo he disfrutado. De la belleza de la naturaleza, del mar, de los ríos, de todo lo que tenemos.

Tendrán ya en mente un planeta para destruir y saquear. Sé que para muchos soy un poco apasionada, pero soy así y sé que lo seré hasta el fin de mis días. Sí soy apasionada y deseo un planeta donde mis nietos puedan disfrutar y vivir felices.

Me dio dolor en este filme ver cómo destruyen sin piedad. Esto me dejó un sabor amargo en la boca, y el dolor de saber que nos extinguimos y vamos a desaparecer por nosotros mismos.

Como toda persona conservacionista busco que me oigan a pesar de que muchos me llamen fastidiosa porque ya está trillado este tema. Pero no me importa si así logro ayudar a preservar la especie humana.

Los invito amigos de #Hive a sembrar un árbol y pensar en verde para dejar un planeta apto para las futuras generaciones.

My passion for cinema has led me to many films throughout my life. Some have left deep impressions in me and others have disturbed me as they have questioned my world. When this happens to me, I remember my grandmother Bertita's telling me: "Beckita, you are always looking for the five legs to the cat. Leave the world alone. For me this is what happened, human beings, because of adults, we leave the world as it is. We don't raise our voices or protest. We let others decide for us.We still maintain paradigms that have the world upside down and human beings totally crazy.

I had a hard time choosing between Enemy of Mine and Avatar. The former is a science fiction film that was released in 1985. I was fascinated by it despite the reviews and the fact that it was not a box-office hit, but its message touched my soul. The relationship between the two enemies who together fought to survive.

However, to accompany the friends of the Hive account@holos-lotus Community in the Contest: "Films that inspire", I decided to choose Avatar. This film was released in December 2009.
This film made me reiterate what man is capable of for greed, money and power. I have always known it, but this is one of the films that has reaffirmed it to me. They have destroyed our planet and when there is nothing left what will they do? Destroy others. We are like locusts, wherever we go we leave nothing. Mistake after mistake has caused negative events such as the destruction of the ozone layer, deaths of many species of animals among others.

At that moment I saw the past, how our ancestors were trampled and sullied by civilizations that only came to take gold and precious stones. They destroyed all the vestiges and imposed a religion.

There are no more natural reserves or watersheds left on the planet and many species are in danger of extinction. My grandmother's words come to mind: "leave the world as it is," but I still question what she said. I wonder: when they finish with the planet, where will they go?

Garbage is at high levels, more than 2.1 billion tons of waste are produced every year. There is a shortage of water. Animals are also dying from plastic waste, oils and petroleum. Plastic represents 85% of the waste that reaches the oceans according to figures from the United Nations Environment Program, published on October 21, 2021. For all of the above I have no answers. This makes me uncomfortable. When there is no life left in the oceans, rivers and seas what will they do? Where will they go? Will this be what they so desperately seek on Mars. They will invent a program similar to Avatar, to destroy whatever they get in their path.

In this film I saw a peaceful, spiritual and magical civilization; the Na'vi of the planet Pandora go to war. Hopeless, but standing up to defend their lives, customs and ancestors. It also shows how humans deceive and cajole to achieve the goals of the strongest and most powerful.

Human beings do not accept their mistakes and this is seen at all levels, even in the cinema, where at the 2010 Oscars, a war film took the statuette for Best Picture: "In Hostile Land". This was an outburst for me, but most human beings are like that. There remains a minority of us who try to do good, to think green, to protect endangered animals, to pick up trash and plastics on the beaches like my friend Hive account@geadriana, to plant a tree, recycle and not burn garbage. But we are few, yet we continue to carry a conservationist message.

Where will those who survive go, to plunder other planets and other worlds like the one in the movie Avatar. Even at my age of 60 I am never satisfied because I know that it is possible to be a better human being. I try every day to speak for the future generations so that they get an optimal planet to live and enjoy what I have enjoyed. The beauty of nature, the sea, the rivers, everything we have.

They will already have in mind a planet to destroy and plunder. I know that for many I am a bit passionate, but that is how I am and I know I will be until the end of my days. I am passionate and I want a planet where my grandchildren can enjoy and live happily.

It gave me pain in this film to see how they destroy without mercy. It left a bitter taste in my mouth, and the pain of knowing that we are becoming extinct and are going to disappear by ourselves.

Like all conservationists, I want to be heard, even though many call me a nuisance because this topic is already trite. But I don't mind if I can help preserve the human species.
