Hola amigos, deseo que estén todos bien, especialmente los niños y adultos con autismo en Venezuela, incluyendo a sus familias y a los especialistas que los atienden. A través de esta edición de mi columna Autismo: Mundo Azul me solidarizo con mis hermanos azules venezolanos quienes recientemente fueron victima de un vil maltrato de parte del alcalde de El Tigre, Estado Anzoátegui, Ernesto Paraqueima, una figura pública gubernamental que se supone está para dar seguridad a todos los ciudadanos de su jurisdicción sin excepción.
Como saben, hace una semana se viralizó un audio donde este señor, hoy ex alcalde, se burlaba de un mural en la vía pública que según él y los presentes, había sido pintado por niños con autismo leve. El señor dijo con gran odio que el mural era "horroroso" y preguntaba que si los "niñitos asperjes" lo habían pintado con las "patas". Vaya barbaridad, que una persona y más un alcalde, trate de esa manera a niños y con autismo, pero gracias a Dios que los ciudadanos rechazaron su acción discriminatoria.

Lo único horroroso fue la actitud de Paraqueima y todos en Venezuela se han unido rechazando sus palabras de odio, reaccionando también la creadora del mural, la artista Patricia Posani, quien no se intimida si no que se llena de más motivación como activista defensora de la vida y derechos del autismo.
Respeto y buen trato al autismo
Dar respeto a las personas con autismo es tratarlas bien, lo que realmente demuestra un nivel alto de humanidad, capaz de poner en practica la inclusión con tolerancia, paciencia, comprensión y aceptación. Recientemente estuvimos celebrando el mes del autismo, para la concienciación sobre el espectro autista así que como siempre digo, oigamos las voces que valen la pena y no las horrorosas de personas llenas de odio.
Entonces, alcemos nuestras voces para la concienciación de la vida azul, pensando en el buen trato que merecen las personas con autismo. Hello friends, I wish you all well, especially the children and adults with autism in Venezuela, including their families and the specialists who take care of them. Through this edition of my column Autism: Blue World I express my solidarity with my Venezuelan blue brothers and sisters who were recently victims of a vile mistreatment by the mayor of El Tigre, Anzoátegui State, Ernesto Paraqueima, a public governmental figure who is supposed to provide security to all citizens of his jurisdiction without exception.
As you know, a week ago an audio went viral where this gentleman, now former mayor, made fun of a mural on the public road that according to him and those present, had been painted by children with mild autism. The gentleman said with great hatred that the mural was "horrendous" and asked if the "little children with autism" had painted it with their "paws". What a barbarity, that a person, and even more a mayor, treats children with autism in such a way, but thank God that the citizens rejected his discriminatory action.

Respect and good treatment of autism
Giving respect to people with autism is treating them well, which really shows a high level of humanity, able to put inclusion into practice with tolerance, patience, understanding and acceptance.
