¿Solo una actividad recreativa? – Just a recreational activity? 🤔 UPTM “Kléber Ramírez” [Esp-Eng]

En la UPTM “Kléber Ramírez” vivimos una jornada que comenzó como una simple actividad recreativa, pero terminó convirtiéndose en un espacio de aprendizaje, conexión y crecimiento personal. Los protagonistas fueron los estudiantes de Administración trayecto 1 trimestre 3, quienes asumimos el reto de planificar, organizar y ejecutar una dinámica desde cero (fue la última evaluación de esta materia), aplicando en la práctica lo que muchas veces fue solo teoría.

Un saludo para toda la comunidad de Hive account@holos-lotus agradezco el recibimiento tan bonito y el apoyo a mis publicaciones. Hoy quiero compartirles algo que, sinceramente, me cambió la manera de ver una de mis asignaturas un cambio de mentalidad rotunda. Estudio Administración y ya estoy cerca de graduarme de TSU, pero tengo una materia llamada Deporte, Arte y Recreación que hasta ahora había sido muy teórica: definiciones, conceptos, evaluaciones básicas. Y, siendo honesto, pensé que no tenía ninguna relación con mi carrera. Sin embargo, esta actividad me demostró lo contrario.

At UPTM “Kléber Ramírez,” we experienced a day that began as a simple recreational activity but ended up becoming a space for learning, connection, and personal growth. The protagonists were the third-quarter business administration students, who took on the challenge of planning, organizing, and executing an activity from scratch (it was the final assessment for this subject), putting into practice what was often just theory.

Greetings to the entire Hive account@holos-lotus community. I appreciate the warm welcome and support for my posts. Today I want to share something that, honestly, changed the way I view one of my subjects—a complete change of mindset. I study Administration and am close to graduating with a TSU degree, but I have a subject called Sports, Arts, and Recreation that until now had been very theoretical: definitions, concepts, basic evaluations. And to be honest, I thought it had nothing to do with my career. However, this activity proved me wrong.

Lo revelador si puedo llamarlo así fue ver cómo cada etapa de la administración se manifestaba de forma natural en algo tan cotidiano como organizar una actividad recreativa. La planificación se convirtió en el punto de partida para transformar una idea en un propósito claro, definir objetivos, prever recursos y anticipar escenarios. La organización nos llevó a distribuir roles, coordinar materiales y estructurar tiempos y espacios. La dirección apareció en la motivación, la comunicación, la resolución de imprevistos y en sostener el ánimo del equipo. Y el control nos permitió evaluar lo que funcionó, lo que podía mejorar y cómo cada decisión impactó en el resultado final.

What was revealing, if I can call it that, was seeing how each stage of management manifested itself naturally in something as everyday as organizing a recreational activity. Planning became the starting point for transforming an idea into a clear purpose, defining objectives, forecasting resources, and anticipating scenarios. Organization led us to distribute roles, coordinate materials, and structure times and spaces. Leadership appeared in motivation, communication, resolving unforeseen events, and sustaining team morale. And control allowed us to evaluate what worked, what could be improved, and how each decision impacted the final result.

Pero más allá del proceso técnico, ocurrió algo más valioso cada participante descubrió algo de sí mismo. Confianza, liderazgo, escucha, creatividad, paciencia, trabajo en equipo… cualidades que solo emergen cuando nos atrevemos a salir de la rutina y convertir la teoría en experiencia. Nosotros como organizadores también crecimos. Comprendimos que gestionar no es solo coordinar tareas, sino acompañar personas, sostener emociones (subrayo esto porque fue lo que más resalto) y mantener el enfoque incluso cuando las cosas no salen como se esperaba. La administración, se vuelve real.

But beyond the technical process, something even more valuable happened: each participant discovered something about themselves. Confidence, leadership, listening, creativity, patience, teamwork... qualities that only emerge when we dare to break out of our routine and turn theory into experience. We as organizers also grew. We understood that managing is not just about coordinating tasks, but also about accompanying people, supporting emotions (I emphasize this because it was what stood out most to me), and staying focused even when things don't go as expected. Management becomes real.

Entre risas, dinámicas, reflexiones y momentos compartidos, esta actividad nos recordó que aprender no siempre ocurre en un salón: a veces ocurre en el campo, bajo un techo verde, con un micrófono improvisado, un grupo de jóvenes motivados y un sueño que se vuelve acción. Y esto es algo para recordar porque son actividades que marcan significativamente y se quedan no solo en el corazón si no en la memoria en el conocimiento y creo que algún día esto sera de utilidad. Por eso quiero der las gracias a todos los que participaron y pusieron el corazón. Gracias a quienes se atrevieron a liderar. Gracias a quienes confiaron en el proceso, y obviamente a nuestra profesora Zurany Araujo.

Amid laughter, dynamic activities, reflections, and shared moments, this activity reminded us that learning does not always take place in a classroom: sometimes it happens in the field, under a green roof, with an improvised microphone, a group of motivated young people, and a dream that becomes action. And this is something to remember because these are activities that leave a significant mark and remain not only in the heart but also in the memory and in knowledge, and I believe that one day this will be useful. That is why I want to thank everyone who participated and put their heart into it. Thank you to those who dared to lead. Thank you to those who trusted in the process, and obviously to our teacher Zurany Araujo.
