My little brother has suffered a lot and so have I for being separated in different countries, but now we can again live together the colorful and happy Christmas that I remember at home with my parents.

Bien, la iniciativa es para reflexionar en nuestra infancia en navidad para compararla con la que le damos a los niños a nuestro cargo, bueno yo no tengo hijos pero si un hermano menor, mi único hermano que quiero mucho y por eso este año luego de tres años estamos juntos pasando la navidad y próximos a recibir el año nuevo, por eso estoy feliz. Mi hermanito ha sufrido mucho y yo también por estar separados en diferentes piases, pero ahora podemos otra vez vivir juntos la navidad colorida y feliz que recuerdo en casa con mis padres.

I enjoyed those moments with my family and I miss them. My cousins with whom I shared little because I was always shy compared to them, are also in other countries. I don't know when the whole family will meet again at my grandmother's house. That was always the meeting point because my great-grandmother is alive, now many of us have left the country and there are no big meetings, my grandmother, great-grandmother and aunts are a little lonely but we are watching them from a distance. I have many beautiful memories because our Christmas meant more family sharing than gifts, although gifts were not lacking as a special gesture to complement the time of celebration. This year the gift I get from my mom is to bring my brother to Colombia and so I can be with the little boy in the house again decorating a Christmas tree.
Para año nuevo, los preparativos eran más grandes en la casa de mi abuela, porque se reuniría mucha familia. Recuerdo las comidas especiales como las infaltables hallacas y bollos navideños de mi abuela, las mejores del mundo y su dulce de lechosa que le queda también muy bueno y sabroso, la verdad que es único en textura y sabor. Mi tía, una hermana de mi abuela no se queda atrás preparando un excelente muchacho horneado. También mi tía se encargaba de hacer una espectacular torta negra y el carato, una bebida típica de maíz en mi país Venezuela.
Disfruté esos momentos con mi familia y los extraño. Mis primos con los que compartía poco porque siempre fui tímido en comparación a ellos, también están en otros países. No sé cuando nos vuelva a reunirse toda familia en casa de mi abuela. Ese siempre fue el punto de reuniones porque esta mi bisabuela viva, ahora muchos nos hemos ido del país y ya no hay reuniones grandes, mi abuela, bisabuela y tías están un poco solas pero estamos pendientes de ellas desde la distancia. Ellas son felices cuando hablamos por teléfono y más en estas fechas.
Tengo muchos recuerdos bonitos porque nuestra navidad significaba más compartir en familia que regalos, aunque los obsequios no faltaban como gesto especial para complementar la época de celebración. Este año el regalo que recibo de mi mamá es traerme a Colombia a mi hermano y por eso puedo estar con el chiquitín de la casa otra vez decorando un árbol de navidad.
