Initiativa No. 13 Let's go for a walk, that life of ours [ESP-ENG]

Te invito a un viaje en el tiempo, para el año 2000 a una posada mágica en la ciudad de Mérida-Venezuela. tengo recuerdos muy agradables de ese lugar, para ese entonces tenía 7 años, soliamos visitar la misma posada durante las vacaciones, mi hermana estudiaba Derecho en la ULA así que era un excelente motivo de vacaciones familiar, debo decir que Mérida es mi ciudad favorita, pero este lugar específico trae muy lindos recuerdos que aún atesoro.

Se llamaban Chalet Fresh Air, ubicados frente al Mirador Juan Rodriguez Suárez. Estuve investigando para saber si ésta posada todavía existe pero mi búsqueda no fue muy fructífera, si alguno de los que me leen es de Mérida y saben si aún se mantiene o cambiaron su nombre me encantaría saberlo para organizar en algún momento unas vacaciones allá, sería una experiencia muy bonita y llena de recuerdos.

I invite you to a trip back in time, for the year 2000 to a magical inn in the city of Merida-Venezuela. I have very pleasant memories of that place, by that time I was 7 years old, we used to visit the same inn during the vacations, my sister was studying law at ULA so it was an excellent reason for family vacations, I must say that Merida is my favorite city, but this specific place brings back very nice memories that I still treasure.

They were called Chalet Fresh Air, located in front of the Mirador Juan Rodriguez Suarez. I was researching to find out if this inn still exists but my search was not fruitful, if any of you who read me is from Merida and know if it still exists or changed its name I would love to know to organize a vacation there at some point, it would be a very nice experience and full of memories.

Los chalets quedaban en un camino cuesta arriba, a eso de las 6pm la neblina cubria por completo ese camino, por dentro eran muy acojedores, con escaleras de madera en forma de caracol, me encantaba jugar allí. Solía pedir una de las camas de arriba, justo al lado del balcón, la vista era muy bonita, rodeada de naturaleza y aire fresco.

Una tarde como toda niña aventurera fui a caminar un poco, descubrí un camino que tenia un banco con muchas plantas y la vista era impresionante, podía ver todas las casas y hasta un estadio desde allí, rodeado de grandes montañas, era una vista magestuosa, sin dudar le mostré el sitio a mis padres y soliamos ir a sentarnos en las tardes con una tasa de chocolate caliente.

The chalets were on an uphill road, at about 6pm the fog covered the road completely, inside they were very cozy, with wooden stairs in the shape of a spiral, I loved to play there. I used to ask for one of the beds upstairs, right next to the balcony, the view was very nice, surrounded by nature and fresh air.

One afternoon like every adventurous girl I went for a little walk, I discovered a path that had a bench with many plants and the view was breathtaking, I could see all the houses and even a stadium from there, surrounded by big mountains, it was a majestic view, without hesitation I showed the place to my parents and we used to go and sit in the afternoons with a cup of hot chocolate.

Todos tenemos nuestro sitio favorito, mis mejores vacaciones fueron en estos chalets de Mérida, poder disfrutar de la vista, compartir con mi familia era todo lo que estaba bien en la vida. Me encantaria sin duda repetir esta experiencia con ellos, ya que ésta también es la ciudad favorita de mamá.

We all have our favorite place, my best vacation was in these villas in Merida, being able to enjoy the view, sharing with my family was everything that was right in life. I would definitely love to repeat this experience with them, as this is also mom's favorite city.
