Cuando ví esta iniciativa me encantó porque realmente he visto un montón de películas, así qué podía fallar?, era como dicen "un tiro al piso"... Pero...

Del dicho al hecho hay mucho trecho jaja .. y es que sí tengo muchas películas que me han gustado muchísimo y que me han inspirado, pero ese es el detalle, son muchas y escoger fue pensar y pensar. Pero por fin tomé una decisión... Con tal que no sea como cuando escogí marido, que después de tener varios en la vista, escogí el peor Jajaja (es broma 🤭)

Manos milagrosas es mi film

Manos milagrosas es un film precioso, muy bueno para cuando necesitas drenar alguna tristeza, un problema y quieres llorar, ésta es perfecta porque si lloras le echas la culpa a la película y no al problema que tienes.

Hablando en serio, esta peli es del tipo que me gustan porque está basada en hechos y personajes reales. Se trata de parte de la vida del Dr. Ben Carson, neurocirujano famoso y la protagonizó Cuba Gooding Jr. De hecho me encanta Cuba como protagonista de películas. No es tan reciente porque es del 2009, pero para mí es tan interesante que es atemporal.

Me parece que este tipo de películas de la vida real una puede obtener la visión que nos presenta el cine y sus personajes, lo cual te puede dar otra perspectiva de lo que ya sabes o un punto de vista diferente de una situación.

Se conjugan en la trama temas como discriminación racial, bullyng, baja estima y violencia, por eso digo que es atemporal porque nada cambia, sobre todo el bullyng que tanto afecta y de hecho recientemente este chico que se suicidó a causa de este flagelo, ha movido mucho al mundo.

Ben Carson es un afroamericano y el film muestra su vida desde su infancia hasta que logra obtener reconocimiento. No sé, no quiero hacer spoiler, tienes que verla y disfrutarla.

Pero sí te puedo decir que me conectó y donde hice click con la película.

Yo soy una persona que piensa que todo niño está lleno de posibilidades para triunfar en lo que haga y el medio ambiente donde él se desarrolla es donde esas posibilidades serán una realidad.

Ben Carson, en el inicio de la película se enfrenta a dos grandes cambios en su vida: el divorcio de los padres y la consecuente mudanza a otra ciudad. Es obvio que todo esto hace que se sienta descolocado, fuera de su entorno y su desenvolvimiento en el mundo nuevo, la escuela, la ciudad, se torna difícil, su rendimiento académico bajó en forma considerable y la relación con sus pares y en el hogar se volvió en un momento violenta.

Dentro de la trama está su mamá, que dentro del ambiente que le toca vivir, ella desempeña un rol fundamental para que él pueda superar toda esta situación.

Todo niño y niña necesita un padre y una madre que lo proteja primeramente y además lo impulse a ser mejor cada día, que le diga lo valioso que es, que es capaz de triunfar y lograr todo lo que quiera.

Ver a la mamá de Carson olvidarse un poco de ella y darle más a sus hijos, de exigirle cuando era necesario, una madre que nunca se cansó sino que insistió e insistió en creer en ellos, fue muy inspirador para mí. De hecho él le dice a ella que es "la mamá más mala del mundo" solo porque les exigió a ambos estudiar y hacer tareas antes de salir a jugar a la calle. Jaja.

Cuando me desempeñaba como psicopedagoga, que es mi profesión, siempre les dije a las madres: No te puedes cansar, necesitas insistir, chequear lo que está haciendo, verificar que hizo la tarea y sentarse con él si es necesario. Porque esto es lo que va a dar la victoria en las ocasiones en que los chamos no son tan aplicados al estudio.

Otra cosa que me movió mucho fue que en la época que Ben Carson era como médico y debía realizar operaciones de alto riesgo en niños, en esos momentos debió tomar decisiones no muy sencillas, pero tuvo de su parte algunas cosas: primeramente esas palabras que siempre le dijo su madre que recordaba y lo fortalecían; también sabía que tenía el conocimiento necesario para hacer el trabajo solo tenía que atreverse a hacerlo; otra cosa era que él estudiaba los casos detenidamente, buscaba insistentemente el cómo podía solucionar los desafíos que representaban las operaciones y los riesgos de vida que conllevaban.

Pienso yo que todo eso le ayudo a ser mejor cada día y con el tiempo a ser una eminencia en su época y hasta el día de hoy sus logros son únicos, no lo detuvo el miedo, que quizás tuvo, sino que se esforzó más allá de sus posibilidades y fue siempre más allá, con el deseo de ayudar a esos niños.

A nosotros también nos pasa eso, se nos presentan situaciones difíciles, problemas que resolver, y el miedo es una de las cosas que si le damos mucho espacio en nuestras vidas, nos detiene, nos paraliza. Al contrario, debemos estudiar el problema, preguntar, indagar, buscar la solución y ya con eso en las manos comenzar a dar los pasos para solucionar. Ir más allá de nuestra zona de confort nos puede dar mayores satisfacciones.

Así que la idea es atrevernos a ir más allá y lograr cosas mejores en nuestras vidas.

Miraculous Hands is a beautiful film, very good for when you need to drain some sadness, a problem and you want to cry, this is perfect because if you cry you blame the film and not the problem you have.

Seriously speaking, this movie is the type that I like because it is based on real events and characters. It is part of the life of Dr. Ben Carson, a famous neurosurgeon and starred in Cuba Gooding Jr. In fact, I love Cuba as the protagonist of movies. It is not so recent because it is from 2009, but for me it is so interesting that it is timeless.

I am a person who thinks that every child is full of possibilities to succeed in whatever he does and the environment where he develops is where those possibilities will be a reality.

Going beyond our comfort zone can give us greater satisfaction.

So the idea is to dare to go further and achieve better things in our lives.
