It was almost evening when I found this guy alone, and he was perched on a leaf. Prionyx parkeri, commonly called the thread-waisted wasp, is a species of mud wasp belonging to the Sphecidae. That says a little about this guy.
I love the white hair that covers his face and neck; that's cool. The abdomen was yellow like magma, and it had a thread-thin black base. But the most charming of all were his black and bulging compound eyes.
Look at his gaze; it's really warm and friendly. Of course, we are friends with insects. The proof is that he held more of my shots.
