Hello Visual Shots community,
I’m sharing a very personal series that comes straight from the heart. Thank you for offering a space where we can express not only visuals, but also the deep emotions behind them.
This series was born from the need to see Kora my companion, my daughter, my therapy through different eyes.
The photo where she appears in color while the background remains black and white is not just an effect it’s exactly how I feel. Her presence brings color into grey spaces, and seeing her this way reminds me how much she means in my life. She has become my light.
Kora has been with me through moments of deep sadness and depression. Her silent presence, the way she looks at me without judgment, has been a refuge when nothing else made sense. She was there when I couldn’t talk to anyone. Her licks, her playful energy, and the responsibilities that came with caring for her slowly began to give my life meaning.
One of the most special images in this series was made with real red LED light not a digital filter. That red light represents a strong, almost visceral emotional bond. The image holds an intimate atmosphere, like a scene from a film, where the red suggests intensity, connection, and also vulnerability.
The rest of the photos are more natural and contemplative. Each one shows different aspects of her presence: observant, calm, protective.
Kora is more than a pet she’s an emotional anchor. These images come from the desire to thank her for her constant presence, her loyalty, and the sense of peace she gives me in the middle of the shadows.

Les comparto esta serie muy personal que nace desde el corazón. Gracias por este espacio donde podemos mostrar no solo imágenes, sino también las emociones profundas que las inspiran.
Esta serie nace de la necesidad de mirar a Kora, mi compañera, mi hija, mi terapia, con otros ojos.
La fotografía donde ella aparece a color y el fondo en blanco y negro no es un efecto cualquiera: es exactamente como la siento. Su presencia da color a mis espacios grises, y verla así me recuerda lo mucho que significa en mi vida. Ella se ha convertido en mi luz.
Kora ha estado conmigo en momentos de profunda tristeza y depresión. Su compañía silenciosa, su forma de mirarme sin juicio, han sido un refugio cuando nada parecía tener sentido. Ella ha estado ahí cuando no podía hablar con nadie más. Sus lamidas, sus juegos y las responsabilidades que implicaba cuidarla empezaron a dar sentido a mis días.
Una de las imágenes más especiales de esta serie fue hecha con luz LED roja real, no es un filtro digital. Esa luz roja representa para mí un vínculo emocional fuerte, casi visceral. La imagen tiene una atmósfera íntima, como una escena de cine, donde el rojo sugiere intensidad, conexión… y también vulnerabilidad.
El resto de las fotos son más naturales y contemplativas. Cada una muestra distintas facetas de su forma de estar: observadora, calmada, protectora.
Kora es más que una mascota es un ancla emocional. Estas imágenes nacen del deseo de agradecerle su presencia constante, su lealtad, y la calma que me da en medio de las sombras.
