One of the positive aspects of street photography is that within it you can find many themes with which you can practice and diversify your content. This week, I was walking around an area that I consider to be less attractive than others. I took a couple of photos and realized that the color that stood out the most was yellow.
Spontaneously, I thought I should take a series of photos that included one or more elements of this color, no matter how small, it had to be present. It was a practical exercise, but in a way, I forgot other details that are typical of my style and focused only on capturing the yellow in some things. They are not the best photos, but it served as practice, and I had fun looking for these tones on this short walk.
This 1950s restaurant has a very interesting facade; I think it's a good place to stand in front of for several minutes and find a good moment through those windows. People having coffee, chatting amongst themselves, eating something, freezing that moment is appealing, but I think it's even more so when it's in black and white.
There are many street corners throughout the city that have this type of building facade from almost a century ago; the most charming thing is that they have preserved their structure very well. Although I personally wouldn't paint it in such a garish color, it does somehow attract attention among other buildings and restaurants.
We cannot leave out the city's taxis if we are talking about highlighting the color yellow in the photos.
To tell the truth, this was the first photo of that walk and because of this building I decided to continue with the theme of the color yellow in the compositions.
Even this has that color, I don't know... I just thought it was fun and different this time. I hope you liked it :)
