This little green Katydid was hiding and blending very well so that I missed it when I first went past the tree it was resting on. The other factor that could contribute to the miss was that it rested on a leaf that is a little bit higher than my field of view.
It was when I looked up a little bit, when I wanted to go back I found this little green Katydid hiding in plain sight. The color of its body blends so weel with the leaf it resting on.
I think this katydid is still a juvenile as it has not developed the wings just yet. But look at the long hind legs it has, it will most likely escape from the predator in just one jump. : )
I like how the blue sky looks so nice in the background, giving another touch to my macro shot.
