Los últimos días han sido de lluvia, y a pesar de que el verano no se despedirá oficialmente sino hasta el próximo sábado, las temperaturas han comenzado a descender como preludio al temporal otoñal. En términos de Game of Thrones tal vez sería algo como, “Autumn is coming”. Lo cierto es que este clima, que no es ni tan frío ni tan cálido, es perfecto para retomar los paseos por el corazón de Madrid, una ciudad que con cada nueva estación parece reinventarse para conquistar.
En esta ocasión, el ambiente tranquilo y sereno de los Jardines de Sabatini fue el escenario ideal para un agradable paseo. En ese lugar, a los pies del Palacio Real, convergen en perfecta armonía la naturaleza, el arte, la cultura y la historia… y, ¿por qué no?, el romance. Al menos, de eso fui testigo mientras merodeaba en los recovecos de sus verdes laberintos.

The past few days have been rainy, and even though summer won’t officially bid farewell until next Saturday, temperatures have started to drop as a prelude to the autumnal weather. In terms of “Game of Thrones,” you could say it’s something like, “Autumn is coming.” The truth is that this weather, which is neither so cold nor so warm, is perfect to resume the walks through the heart of Madrid, a city that with each new season seems to reinvent itself to conquer.
On this occasion, the calm and serene atmosphere of the Sabatini Gardens was the ideal setting for a pleasant walk. In that place, at the foot of the Royal Palace, nature, art, culture, and history converge in perfect harmony… and, why not? Romance, too. At least, that’s what I witnessed while wandering through the nooks and crannies of its green mazes.
