Blue, and then I immediately think of blue hour! I have a folder on my computer that is called blue because of that! I want to show you one of my favorite pictures from the folder!
I made this on the dike near the town of Uitdam, a small town, about 20 kilometers above the city center of Amsterdam! It was very early in the morning and it was cold! i remember that because I had to wait for a long time while taking this picture!
It's a long exposure of 340 seconds! It could take so long because I still was pretty dark outside! More than 5 minutes waiting for a picture been taken! 😅
But I love that because you really can unwind then! I stared out over the water, listening to the birds waking up! i can command every buddy to do long exposure photography!
I tried different cutouts, this is the original! I didn't like the stones on the bottom! The poles of the fishing nets in the water look so cool without the rocks!
The other setting were ISO 100 and a aperture of F11
I used my bigstopper and my little stopper at the same time! And I am not sure but I think I had a gradient filter on it to! So all together about 18 stops of filters, making it way darker than it really was! but that's why I stood there for 5 minutes!
Eventually the sky colored a bit purple and pink and I put up another long exposure!
I was so curious what this would do!
I took a normal picture before the next long exposure! Here I just had a gradient ND filler on my camera!
Settings F9, ISO 200 and 0,5 seconds exposure!
The settings of this picture were ISO 50, Aperture F22 with an exposure of 68 seconds!
