Blue River park is about a 2 hour drive from Noumea which is the capital of New Caledonia. It's a old wilderness area which has had some mining and logging in the past but is now, as the name suggests a park with a range of activities that you can do, looks of mountain biking, trail running, hiking and whatnot, or like us you could just come for the views.
And there is something about this place, the red dirt which reminds me so much of home in Australia. The mystic nature of the sunken forest, but always with that lush tropical greenness
