There's a saying that when you plant rice, weeds will grow. But when weeds grow, rice won't grow unless you intentionally plant them.
This is about kindness. When we plant goodness, bad things will follow. Whether that badness can be interpreted as the emergence of envious people or people who simply dislike our kindness to others.
But look, and pay close attention, at the wildflowers growing among the bushes and weeds. They weren't planted intentionally, but grew naturally. Likewise, in everyday life, goodness will emerge amidst badness, rising to the surface very naturally through a rather difficult process.
A flower is still a flower even if it grows in the undergrowth and amidst weeds. A flower is still a beautiful and fragrant flower even if it grows among dry and rotting weeds. A good person will also remain good if they are naturally good, even if they live in a bad environment.
