No swimming. The warning signs are everywhere. Yet that doesn't stop a few people from jumping into the unpredictable sea. The problem with this particular area, according to the numerous signage around the beach, is the riptides that can drag a swimmer into the ocean. Fortunately, there are other places around this part of Puerto Rico with less turbulent waters.
The heat of the day is something else. I feel sluggish under the sun, so I close my eyes in the shade. I like watching the pelicans circle overhead, looking graceful in a prehistoric kind of way.
