It’s monsoon season these days, and honestly, every day brings a different scene. One day the hills are completely hidden, the next they're glowing under a break in the clouds.. it’s like the weather’s in full mood to show off. But out of everything I’ve seen lately, this view from the evening has easily been the best so far.
इन दिनों मानसून का मौसम है, और सच कहूँ तो, हर दिन एक अलग नज़ारा लेकर आता है। एक दिन पहाड़ियाँ पूरी तरह से छिप जाती हैं, अगले ही दिन वे बादलों के बीच चमक रही होती हैं ... ऐसा लगता है जैसे मौसम पूरी तरह से दिखावा करने के मूड में है। लेकिन हाल ही में मैंने जो कुछ भी देखा है, उसमें से शाम का यह नज़ारा अब तक का सबसे बेहतरीन रहा है। इन दिनों मानसून का मौसम है, और सच कहूँ तो, हर दिन एक अलग नज़ारा लेकर आता है। एक दिन पहाड़ियाँ पूरी तरह से छिप जाती हैं, अगले ही दिन वे बादलों के बीच चमक रही होती हैं .. ऐसा लगता है जैसे मौसम पूरी तरह से दिखावा करने के मूड में है। लेकिन हाल ही में मैंने जो कुछ भी देखा है, उसमें से शाम का यह नज़ारा अब तक का सबसे बेहतरीन रहा है।
The clouds had dropped low and wide, covering the entire valley like they were just laying down for the night. You couldn’t see what was below .. no houses, no roads, just a thick white layer of cloud sitting still between the hills. It wasn’t foggy in the usual sense ..it was heavier, thicker, and somehow more dramatic without being loud.
बादल नीचे और चौड़े होकर पूरी घाटी को ऐसे ढक रहे थे मानो वे रात के लिए बस लेट गए हों। नीचे क्या है, कुछ दिखाई नहीं दे रहा था..न घर, न सड़कें, बस पहाड़ियों के बीच बादलों की एक मोटी सफ़ेद परत जमी हुई थी। यह सामान्य अर्थों में कोहरा नहीं था...यह ज़्यादा घना, घना और किसी तरह ज़्यादा नाटकीय था, बिना शोर किए।
With monsoon, the scenes change fast ... sometimes in minutes. One moment it’s all clear, the next you can’t see beyond a few meters. But this one stayed long enough to let me soak it in.
मानसून में, नज़ारे तेज़ी से बदलते हैं...कभी-कभी तो मिनटों में। एक पल तो सब साफ़ होता है, अगले ही पल कुछ मीटर से आगे कुछ भी दिखाई नहीं देता। लेकिन यह बारिश इतनी देर तक रही कि मैं उसे महसूस कर पाया।
