This little patch of rocky earth could easily be ignored by someone walking past, but if you slow down and really look, there's a whole tiny world happening right here.It’s just a mossy rock wall at first glance. But spend a few moments with it, and it starts to feel like a miniature forest clinging to the cracks of the hillside.
पथरीली ज़मीन का यह छोटा सा टुकड़ा किसी राहगीर की नज़रों से ओझल हो सकता है, लेकिन अगर आप थोड़ा रुककर गौर से देखें, तो आपको यहीं एक पूरी छोटी सी दुनिया दिखाई देगी। पहली नज़र में तो यह बस एक काई से ढकी चट्टानी दीवार लगती है। लेकिन इसके साथ कुछ पल बिताएँ, तो यह पहाड़ी की दरारों से चिपके एक छोटे से जंगल जैसा लगने लगता है।
In the first photo, there's this bright green moss that looks like a fuzzy island growing on a rugged brown rock face. It almost glows in contrast to the earth tones around it... like nature’s own neon sign. If you’ve ever seen moss up close, you’ll know it’s soft and spongey, and here it looks like it's thriving in its little groove.
पहली तस्वीर में, यह चमकीली हरी काई एक ऊबड़-खाबड़ भूरी चट्टान पर उगे एक धुंधले द्वीप जैसी लग रही है। यह अपने आस-पास के मिट्टी के रंगों के विपरीत लगभग चमक रही है... मानो प्रकृति का अपना नियॉन साइन हो। अगर आपने कभी काई को करीब से देखा है, तो आपको पता होगा कि यह मुलायम और स्पंजी होती है, और यहाँ ऐसा लग रहा है जैसे यह अपनी छोटी सी नाली में पनप रही है।
The other images continue the same story... the rock changing in texture and color, layered in deep browns, rusty oranges, and slate blues, with tiny ecosystems taking shape in every crevice. There are clusters of different moss types, some flat and velvety, others more like bristles standing upright.
बाकी तस्वीरें भी यही कहानी जारी रखती हैं... चट्टान की बनावट और रंग बदल रहे हैं, गहरे भूरे, जंग लगे नारंगी और स्लेटी नीले रंग की परतें हैं, और हर दरार में छोटे-छोटे पारिस्थितिक तंत्र आकार ले रहे हैं। यहाँ अलग-अलग तरह की काई के समूह हैं, कुछ चपटी और मखमली, तो कुछ सीधे खड़े बालों जैसे।
Then there were these hardy little succulents and wild plants growing straight out of rocky surfaces, surrounded by rich, velvety moss. In one photo you can see two symmetrical succulents sit neatly side by side, almost like they were planted intentionally, in the other photo you can see a taller plant with red-tinted stems branching confidently upward and there's also a lone succulent peeking out from a bed of moss, quietly claiming its space.
फिर वहाँ चट्टानी सतहों पर सीधे उगने वाले ये मज़बूत छोटे रसीले पौधे और जंगली पौधे थे, जो घनी, मखमली काई से घिरे थे। एक तस्वीर में आप दो सममित रसीले पौधों को एक-दूसरे के बगल में बड़े करीने से रखे हुए देख सकते हैं, मानो उन्हें जानबूझकर लगाया गया हो, दूसरी तस्वीर में आप लाल रंग के तनों वाले एक लम्बे पौधे को आत्मविश्वास से ऊपर की ओर बढ़ते हुए देख सकते हैं और साथ ही एक अकेला रसीला पौधा भी है जो काई की चादर से बाहर झाँक रहा है, चुपचाप अपनी जगह बना रहा है।
So this post is for the tiny things. For moss that thrives on stone. For succulents growing out of nowhere. For rocky walls that turn into canvases.
तो ये पोस्ट छोटी-छोटी चीज़ों के लिए है। पत्थरों पर पनपने वाली काई के लिए। कहीं से भी उग आने वाले रसीले पौधों के लिए। पथरीली दीवारों के लिए जो कैनवास में बदल जाती हैं।
