Life goes on, it always has. For thousands of years, humanity has experienced countless circumstances that have shaped the history of this world, leaving their mark for better or for worse. Imagine how many people have existed since the beginning; it's almost countless. Therefore, our lives are but a tiny instant in this world. A person who is 100 years old might seem like an eternity, but in reality, those years pass very quickly, like the blink of an eye.
I am currently 35 years old. Of course, that's nothing compared to someone who might be 100, but what surprises me is that it feels like just recently I was 15, studying in high school, and suddenly I find myself in this present where time seems to fly by. Soon I'll be 40, and then, in the blink of an eye, I'll be 50, and so on.
Everything I've said relates to these photographs I'm exhibiting. It's what I see today, and I think about how those same scenes might look in about 10 years. Everything can change, for better or for worse. Perhaps many of these things, or even what I see, will no longer exist, but it's what I captured for today, and it will remain forever in these images.
All photographs are my own work.
