No me pidas escribir

una historia de amor,

se el dolor que te causo

pero mejor así para ambos
Conformémonos con el

afecto de dos hermanos

cercanos
Quedémonos con el aprecio

de amigos sinceros
Dejemos la pasión de amantes

para otros corazones.

Don’t ask me to write

a love story,

I know the pain I caused you

but better this way for both
Let’s settle for the

affection of two brothers

near
Let’s stay with the appreciation

of sincere friends
Let’s leave the passion of lovers

for other hearts.
